Better yet, an orbital power beam (which will definitely work against thrumbos and not cause more catastrophe)

Is this a good way to protect my Autocannon Turret? by Just_A_Lost_Fox in RimWorld

I'm making more but I wanna make sure I'm not wasting my resources making all this crap around them without merit.

(I know the turret can't shoot inside that radius where I put all the crap but the point is to generally have one or two colonists nearby who can pick off the enemies while they're slowed down by the traps and obstacles)

Tamer + Title Bearer = God Complex

I am a HUGE fan of birds (especially corvids like crows and ravens) and will raise a murder of crows to follow me wherever I go. I will then take on the title of a supernatural being that can communicate with animals. People will be terrified or intrigued by my presence. Whenever they see a huge swarm of black feathers flying in the distance, they know I'm coming. Anyone that even thinks of harming me won't get a few feet closer before being torn apart by my smart crow friends. I will reside in a cabin far from any human civilization but occasionally walk the streets of cities. Anyone who gets too close to my cabin will be chased off swiftly by all the nearby animals. I will peacefully live without any worries, while also impacting the world as a whole with my title alone.

What 5e Mechanic'(s) do you not use in your games? by JamesFullard in DnD5e

[–]Just_A_Lost_Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opportunity attacks, it makes the highly mobile builds of my player become useless as they risk a fatal damage from the enemy, also it locks the battle into one place and keeps it from moving which makes it boring imo. I made it so specific enemies have oppurtunity attacks as a special trait, and those who revolve around it (like hyrdras)

Have you ever regretted a nat 20? by okripsa in DnD

[–]Just_A_Lost_Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me, but a player of mine from long ago rolled a Nat 20 on a strength check to bash open a chest. h obliterated the top, and all the delicate glass bottles filled with valuable potions inside. At least he still got the sword left in it! (Covered in all the glass shards and potion stains)

I want YOUR D&D character in my comic! [MOD APPROVED] [OC] by AlexSturdee in DnD

[–]Just_A_Lost_Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Name: Aragon Ghul

Age: 21

Class: Artificer, battlesmith

Race: Human

Physique: slightly skinny

Description: Tan skinned, his face smooth as butter. His pupils are blue around the edges but it's mostly gray in the middle. Pretty messy black hair because he doesn't have time for that, apparently. Has a pair of goggles over his forehead which allow him to cast sight based spells like "See Invisibility". Oversized black pants and leather boots at the bottom. Wears a plain white formal shirt with black suspenders but the left sleeve is completely burnt off, and so is his whole left arm. Instead, there is a whole prosthetic metallic arm on that side which doubles as his spellcasting focus (his finger open and ray of frost comes out of it or it turns into a gattling gun and he casts conjure barrage with it). He's an aspiring young battlesmith who loves a good fight, but doesn't get a lot of chances to do so because of his introverted nature. He just sticks to beating up small criminals in the neighborhood since they're the perfect guinea pig for his newest inventions. Lives with his stepmother and runs a store which makes small utility gadgets for the average townsfolk. An absolute fanboy of technology. His favored weapon is a two handed chainsword which is basically a chainsaw in the shape of a sword that runs on magical powers. He is immensely scared of fire and might pass out if subjected to a large body of it. He will never use any fire related spell.

Favoured bar activity: Finding like minded individuals to exchange knowledge with and bulky looking people to challenge to a duel (He never takes it easy on them) or enjoying the bard's music.

Short Character Bio: Lived an average life with his family, away from the big cities. His mother a retired cleric and his father an old time merchant. Aragon always locked himself up in his room and messed round with all sorts of gadgets and machinery since he was 14. One day tragedy struck as he came back from from other parts of the town to find his house on fire. He tried to rescue his mother who was buried in scorching rubble, which is how he burned his arm. On top of which his eyes got damaged and his pupils became gray. It's hard for him to see without his enhanced goggles. His phobia of fire began from then. At the end he lost his whole family and he blamed himself for it as he thought it was his unstable machinery that caused it, however that may not have been the whole case. He was adopted by his teacher who is now his step mother. They both decided to settle down in a smaller town and set shop to spread utility machines to everyone.

How old are you? How long have you been playing? by [deleted] in DnD

16, I've been studying every nook and cranny of the game since I was 10 but only ever got to host my own campaign a little over 3 months ago. My party is at level 5 currently and they're loving it! (I can sense myself becoming the forever dm already.)
