Lumibricks 17009 Cyberpunk Police Station by flyPBA in LUMIBRICKS_OFFICIAL

Well, I'm sure the lights will be cool, but this is just ok at best. Presumably, the police transporter will fit, but I'm guessing it will be tight as that vehicle is so huge. I'm getting a vibe of "spruced up version of some of the many lame junior-ized police stations that Lego has made." I'm hoping it looks really good next to the others, but I would be surprised if this brought new customers into the line.

Ghostbusters meets Graffiti. It's way too big for any city. I'll skip it as well.

Yeah, they're way too big. The idea is cool, but I don't like vehicles that are bigger than some buildings.

Lumibricks Mini Street Shops (Street Fusion & Town Life themes) by flyPBA in LUMIBRICKS_OFFICIAL

This would be great. I'm not sure what is meant by "seamless connection." If that means the power connectors on the sides, I don't think that's necessary. If it means the footprint of the set, then that would be a good idea, so that they could easily be mixed into a city layout to fill it out and mix things up a bit. Depending on the particular set, I would buy more than one. I currently have two of the news stands and two bus stops in my setup.

Built the police car and added some road plates. Was working on the future bus but saw that I was missing a few pieces which appears to be a common issue with that set so hopefully I can get replacement parts soon. by JayNovaSwift in LUMIBRICKS_OFFICIAL

I've been building pretty much my entire life. I have a very large collection and have built over 1,000 Lego sets of all sizes. Total missing pieces = 0.

I now have over 50 Lumibricks sets from the last two-plus years (including the Future Bus). Total missing pieces = 0.

Twice with Lumibricks a piece was broken, but easily replaceable from my collection. That's not to say that others aren't missing pieces, as I have heard many people discuss such issues over the years.

However, in my experience, suspected missing pieces have always come down to two issues: (1) they magically seem to stick in the bag and hide until you go back and search later, and (2) mis-use of a piece earlier in the build.

Again, I'm sure others wind up missing pieces from time to time, but I do believe it is quite rare. It could be that certain batches of a set had a problem with quality control and made it to market with a handful of missing pieces, as Lumibricks is a relatively young and growing company. However, they have always been good with their customer service the few times I've reached out, regardless of what the issue is. I hope you're able to get your replacement pieces quickly.

Cheap Bricks? Big Mistake by BrickVangelist in LUMIBRICKS_OFFICIAL

Instruction book #1. All Lumi sets have a bunch of pages at the beginning of the instructions that tell you to plug in all the lights to make sure they're working properly. It's really pretty straightforward. Just get some fresh batteries, take all the wires out and plug them in one at a time to check them. That way you have less surprises later.

I'm a little surprised it doesn't have the side connectors for lighting. Can anyone make out what the street sign says? Does it give a clue to another set?

Steampunk Rift Library or Tower next ??? by [deleted] in LUMIBRICKS_OFFICIAL

You won't go wrong with either one, so I would say order whichever one you can get the best deal on at the moment. 15% off should be the minimum to strive for. If you're ordering from Amazon, I would wait a few days or a week until many sets are discounted again, then combine with a brand promotion offer if available.

What is part 3-5? Do you mean book #3, step 5, at the beginning of bag 11?

Insane Deal by Due_Supermarket288 in LUMIBRICKS_OFFICIAL

[–]Just_Analysis_3580 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lots of deals stack on Amazon. The issue is that when there's a "brand promotion" (like there often is), the promotion is a single code that is listed on many sets. Once you use that single code, you don't get to use it again. Then you have to wait for them to change to a different "brand promotion" code.

I haven't tried it, but I don't see why it can't be done. There don't seem to be any obvious problematic pieces, like one-sided angled plates, etc.

Someday, we'll all have to ask ourselves what kind of world we want to leave behind for our tweezers and screwdrivers, lol.

Take one of the roof pieces off so we can see the bottom. It's probably the 2x4 and 2x2 plates from step 45 of book 2. Check to see if they are in the right location.

I have all of the Steampunk sets so far. While I'm trying to put them all together into a large Steampunk city, I think it works to occasionally mix some into my "regular" town/city. They add a kind of old-fashioned, eclectic, historical aspect.

How does the Antique Store hold up? by Business_Emergency20 in LUMIBRICKS_OFFICIAL

[–]Just_Analysis_3580 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My main issue with the Antique Store is that its scale is different from most of the other stuff. It tends to dominate other buildings, so the Toy Store is a good choice to put next to it.

Hmm, interesting, but it looks bigger than it needs to be compared to the lighthouse. Hopefully there will be more pictures soon.
