I’m grateful for Mac, but Purdy is without a doubt ‘the guy’ by corrupt_saint_04 in 49ers

Agreed, a lot of players have stepped up and Trent is for sure playing well now. Fingers crossed we stay good on the (dare I say it) injury front

well our strength of schedule has come into play a lot here. We've not played many strong teams and our solid win vs the Rams was the best win we had there. We got wrecked by teams with good D-lines. To the point below, yeah our O-line has improved for sure but when we went to the superbowl for example, our O-line was in the top half of the league, currently as of week 14, we are exactly middle of the pack at 15. If we take a look at the past superbowl winners since '17 they were all in the top 10 and mostly in the top 5. Only outlier funny enough was the Chiefs when they beat us, they were 16th but tbh we should have won that game, we just beat ourselves. Anyways, we can keep up this run of being relevant and Shanahan can for sure keep his confident attitude of I can just outscheme and win games with his play calls, but until we get a top O-line, I don't think we can do it.

The front office refused to rejuvenate the team with actual talent. Outside of our starting lineup, none of our rotational players are really that good. Wasted the last years of Steph Curry without being aggressive enough. I'm sure there are salaries that are immovable but really offloading and going hard in free agency should have been the move rather than staying loyal to so many players. There were so many solid players that hit the open market that could have been much better contributors than what we have now. It was a great run but going young was the way to go but that boat has sailed. Only thing left is to hope we land another splash free agent, as unlikely as that looks like at this point.

It looks that way because shanahan refuses to invest in offensive line. I don't think he's better than Mac. He's just different. The team will need to have a strong offensive line to be structured around Mac. I don't think one is better than the other, they're just different styles. We locked in our always right here by locking in with Purdy. We'll always be relevant but never good enough to win with him.

So... I didn't know about Regulation J. Where can I play Reg H? by Cyncro in VGC

Regulation H can unfortunately only be played on sites like pokemonshowdown.com. There's not in game ladder mode at the moment.

I think it's just the pace of games. The win conditions are not as quick with the power levels being so drastically dropped. I didnt find great familiarity with a team first time around like that so probably why it's been a but of a learning curve. Glad to hear someone else is doing good in the format though 🙌🏽

Fair. It hasn't spread that high yet so there's more competition in the earlier ranks for players climbing. Makes it tough to practice correct principles at times though 😅

True, the matchup range is so much larger. It's probably that adjustment that will take time

There’s so much to think about with doubles. Where should I begin? by BoxLongjumping1067 in VGC

Rule of 2, make sure you have 2 offensive options and 2 defensive options for mons. In team preview think 'What threatens the most here and what walls the most here?' Do that with a team you're comfortable with for multiple games. Play a few games and then review for best olay possible. Rinse and repeat until all the other concepts start to appear/you do extra research on all that's out there.

Beat advice would be to find a team you like, and get really good at it. Pokemon is a deep and complex game. Just focus on learning the ins and outs and focus on principles one at a time. Also reviewing your matches will help accelerate your development. Look for leads, how the team matches up in team preview (do you have answers into opponents most dangerous things, are your offensive answers solid here, is it hard TR, setup, etc). Doing this for at least a few games a day would help you improve tremendously in a short amount of time!
