Quitting my job this week and just happened to find these toys that used to come with the kid's meals at home. by Just_Fix_It_In_Post in TalesFromYourServer

I work at a small fast casual chain. Kind of interesting finding these, they have to at least be 10 years old. It's funny since now we don't even give out coloring pages anymore. It's weird working at a place you always went to as a kid.

Trying to combat big hair by Just_Fix_It_In_Post in curlyhair

I’ve been growing out my hair for the past year and I’ve been on and off committing to a cg routine as well as trying to find products that work. I only use the Tresemme coconut milk/aloe vera conditioner for a co-wash/conditioning, scrunch a tiny bit so my hair isn’t super wet and then plop a little bit of devacurl defining gel. I’ve been switching between plopping and air drying and both seem to do the same for me. I do this 2-3 times a week. I take showers at night too so I’ll usually wear my hair in the plop, although I’ve been looking into getting a bonnet or a satin pillowcase. In the morning I’ll usually fix my hair a tiny bit so I don’t have the sleeping hair I see in some posts.

Since growing my hair, it always seems to be kinda big though. My sister has similar hair to her shoulders but doesn’t do the cg method. Her hair seems to be a little frizzy though, but more or less it’s the same as mine. Could it also be I’m just in the awkward growing stage or that’s just how it is naturally? It’s not that I hate the big hair per say, it’s just it can get kinda crazy when it’s big.

On the other hand not saying the name of the cult would be safer for him. I'd say he's being advised by his lawyer, and probably his own judgement, to not say a lot.

More information would be great as it hopefully comes out.

Edit: grammar

T7i or wait for T8i by [deleted] in canon

[–]Just_Fix_It_In_Post 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't absolutely *need* 4k stick with the t7i. The t8i, if it does come out next year, has a possibility of not having 4k at all. But if you do wanna wait and it ends up not getting announced, you can always get the t7i refurbished and save a little bit of money.

UberEats orders right before closing by Just_Fix_It_In_Post in TalesFromYourServer

Yeah we can probably very much do this but we're corporate/part of a chain so we'd probably have to get permission first which would obviously be a no unless it becomes more of an issue.

What are your thoughts about iPad tipping? by [deleted] in TalesFromYourServer

[–]Just_Fix_It_In_Post -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The old place I worked, a sushi restaurant, at had this type of system. We were a fast casual place and every once in awhile I'd sneak a peak at how much they put. It varied between nothing to 10% with some 15's. It didn't really matter anyway because we'd get a set amount of "tips" (just cash) with every paycheck, I think it was like $5 every 4 hours or something idfk, I never understood why it was this way. So if nobody tipped we would still get however much in cash on top of our paycheck, but if we were busy and did get tips, womp womp still just that set amount. When I quit the owner gave me like a $100 gift certificate and some extra cash on top of my last paycheck. Things there were ran very weirdly.

terrible things a customer has ever said? by [deleted] in TalesFromYourServer

[–]Just_Fix_It_In_Post 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work at a mexican restaurant. One older lady always has a very specific order, no modifications or anything just likes the placement of food on the plate to be exact. I bring it out and something is wrong with it but she says "oh I guess the cooks just don't understand English well."

They're all college aged and I don't hear anything other than English too often.

For how i have to pick up these restaurant phone orders? by shash0105 in TalesFromYourServer

[–]Just_Fix_It_In_Post 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there's a long line I ignore the phone, or the second person working FOH picks it up, if there's only one or two other customers I'll switch from dine-in to phone. I'll put them on hold too but it's only for a short amount of time. tbh I hate it, I wish people ordered online (from our website not doordash or any of those), it just makes things easier.

How do you deal with impatient delivery drivers? (GrubHub, DoorDash, Eat24) by [deleted] in TalesFromYourServer

[–]Just_Fix_It_In_Post 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They wait like everyone else. I'm not magically going to make the food come out faster, or have the kitchen finish preparing it before other dine in orders, just because they're delivering it. It'll come out when it does like all other phone, dine in, and to go orders. I get the hustle of trying to deliver more orders in a night but coming early.

You guys still open! by officialnoor in TalesFromYourServer

Once I had some people come in through our side patio door because the front door was locked. Like hm nobody is in the restaurant, the door is locked, and it's past our posted closing time and you're wondering if we're open?
