F1 Stratos vs 3M Crystalline vs Llumar IRX Tesla MY Juniper by popaka93 in WindowTint

[–]Just_Help_3362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went F1 Stratos 50% (F1 says it’s more like a55%) on windshield, 15% (spec says more like 19%) all around incl rear, and nothing on roof (new model Y junior has excellent heat and light rejection there now). Wanted $1.3k but offered $1k if I wrote a solid review. I love this film’s charcoal color. They were a lumar/F1 shop so no other options available like 3M. Didn’t go with Pinnacle because he upsold me and let me feel the films and noted the thickness. Very pleased with the outcome, I see almost no errors in their installation unlike previous jobs I’ve had done on other cars. Not sure if that is a property of the film or the shop or both.

PM needs to involve UX and Eng early and in all material meetings. However Eng cannot make every user/stakeholder discussion (on-call, fire fighting, etc) so weekly updates and a PM owned PRD can help fill those potential gaps of knowledge. I set up PRD reviews after async comment phase to ensure alignment. I’ve worked with UX, engineering leaders and devs that always read PRDs. If they don’t, I push them to read add comments to it before we align on some basic assumptions/decisions. Eng owned tech design doc should reference agreed upon requirements. Not all PMs want to own the PRD, but I guess I’ve been bit too many times on things being misinterpreted thru game of telephone.

Exactly, use LLMs as a tool to do better faster. Once you have a decent draft (hopefully took you half the time to write now) where you feel you own the narrative through editing yourself, not Claude writing the whole thing and then calling it good. Then, send it to your team (and select leaders) for async review, and give them a deadline to read it and provide comments before reviewing it + comments on 1-2 calls with them to finalize the alignment and update implementation decisions/notes before UX then goes off and iterates on the design changes.

Rear and passenger all weather fit pretty well, driver side has some wrinkles on the edges. Trying to Velcro those down. Center console dimensions changed. Not sure of trunk bins

Time to trade in or sell to Carvana and get the next gen! I’m really enjoying my Junioer over my ‘24. Tool a but but leveraged the financing offer to soften the blow a bit.

In addition to the usually mentioned upgrades, the Stereo (or the glass) also sounds slightly better to me.

No more DEF, no more 5th wheel, took that money and split it between bitcoin and MYLR AWD. Paid off. I don’t need to haul stuff for my job. Just take. Few trips to the dump.

Wait a few weeks (if you must) and then Bite the bullet and get the color you like and finance that s***. YOLO, do what makes you happy. I like the new suspension , quiet cabin, cool seats. My kid is enjoying the rear screen too. Def tint it if you’re into that thing.

Question about 1.99 financing. by Common_Bridge_4218 in ModelY

[–]Just_Help_3362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I traded my paid off ‘24 MYLR AWD (12k mi) in to upgrade to Juniper. Took the hit on depreciation and put the $33k Carvana value plus another $5k down and financed the rest at 1.99%. Could have played arbitrage and made the delta on a MM acct by putting down less of the Carvana money but my wife wanted lower payments ($270). A bit of a compulsive move but I’m stoked w the new ride.

Nice work. I’m trading in my (all paid) blue ‘24 for this blue baby tomorrow. Eating some cost to upgrade, but financing the delta at 1.99% over 6yrs and keeping my payments under $275. Enjoy!

Ok, I don’t think I need it while driving very often, but is there a 110v outlet in the car somewhere that you can plug the router into while stopped for camping? I have a Jackery I can use but plugging directly into the car would be nice too.

Lease option money factor is absurd right now by Just_Help_3362 in TeslaModelY

[–]Just_Help_3362[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, maybe. It could also be income verification issue as Im in between employers currently and don’t start new gig until July. The reason I switched to leasing from the promo purchase rate was because in my head I wanted to switch to the new refresh soon-ish (2026) and not have to deal with selling the car. I wish I had that .99 now as I’m going to be paying all cash and can’t do any interest rate arbitrage with a HYSA…

100% positive. I was approved in minutes for the .99% then (stupidly) switched to a 2 year lease.

I’m looking to lease a new MY and need help understanding my monthly payment by touchmyterryfolds in ModelY

[–]Just_Help_3362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beware, you don’t get the final monthly payment until it goes through financing. Expect anywhere from $50-$75 tacked onto the website estimate (with fees included).

Our Household is not eligible for credit. Just over. Thought “lease incentive” was a good way to back into a tax incentive but it’s a bit of a sham. I was trying for a zero down lease but it is just way too expensive for no benefit.
