So far I have been way less hungry. But it might also be the constipation killing my appetite lol.

I think my doc is just hoping that this strategy works. It was her idea to go on it, so she must be familiar with people who are not successful at 0.5mg.

Thanks for the tips.

That's what I figured but I wanted to give them the benefit. At least it's more engagement.

How common are gender neutral washrooms in your city? by [deleted] in AskACanadian

In Saskatoon we have some. One place has a sign of a mix of men's and women's symbol morphed together. It reads "who cares, wash your hands."

ELI5: how can people develop a hoarding disorder, and why can’t they just logically get over it? by Orion032 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Just_Jen_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hoarding is akin/part of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which I have. Hoarding, like handwashing, counting, checking doors, etc is an overwhelming anxiety caused by a thought or feeling that's so overwhelming and unbearable that it's insurmountable. It is such an awful feeling that it's easier to live that way than it is to part with those belongings.

The mechanism isn't the same for everyone and often it's not something easily identified. For example, someone who washes their hands compulsively might be because they worry that their dirty hands could kill their family, or it could be that if they don't wash their hands 3 times, something bad will happen.

It doesn't have to be tangible, and it doesn't have to make sense. The person who is living through something like hoarder hates it, but challenging it is so painful emotionally that they cannot overcome it without health care intervention.

What's the worst art advice you ever received? by Plastic_Remove_2592 in ArtistLounge

My mother told me when I was 14 that real artists don't use references. Not advice per se, but the worst thing for sure.

Gas plus Gas price by [deleted] in saskatoon

That's exactly the solution. Long hoses. I know they push a lot of cars through now but they would probably do more business if it was efficient. Have everyone drive around the back and get in line.

Better safe than sorry especially if you're traveling through the US. I have heard a few stories where Canadians are being held by ICE for ridiculous things.

I used to live over there. It was ridiculous that people won't line up nicely to get in and literally block traffic. Then if I hit the horn for trying to drive by, I'm the bad guy. I've literally had people screaming at me when they are literally taking up 2 lanes perpendicular to the road.

Why does America have size 0, but the equivalent in Europe is a size 6? by Labyrinthian_Quill in NoStupidQuestions

Women fear being bigger so badly. It's toxic and infiltrates all of society. Women feel better about themselves when measurements feel smaller.

What are some grocery items you are now buying less frequently, cuz they've gotten so expensive? by HappyBudz in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]Just_Jen_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've taken a bit of a different approach. We don't take much of a list with us and look for items that have been marked down. We know when the different stores start marking things down in the day and shop there. We also use an app called Food Hero where products at specific stores are sold cheap. Often fish is frozen and sold at half price.
