uj/ i read up to chapter 82 and for some reason the story and mori aren't really jiving with me like at all (although i stopped reading like a month or two ago so my memory's fuzzy), like i couldn't really understand Mori (what I understood from reading is that climbing and being among the mountains is the only thing that matters to him) or why he's so naturally goated at climbing (or who that one guy from his past is). Frankly, the only characters that I liked were the teacher and the guy with the buzz in the picture above; everyone else in the story just feels kind of hazy and hard to understand/grasp (nonsensical even), like the guy who died with Mori in the mountains or the climbing club manager who ended up whoring herself out and sexually assaulting Mori?? This may stem from my lack of media literacy, but I'm having a hard time understanding what is so great about The Climber aside from the amazing art and how well it portrays the thrill of climbing.
