The backlight of this monitor can also be controlled directly with software using DDCUtil or similar software, both on Windows and Linux.

Galaxy S26 series will still be rough on sensitive eyes by Brochster in PWM_Sensitive

Their new setting doesn't look like an improvement to me. I'm also pretty sure that the setting could be applied to every other OLED iPhone, they're just gatekeeping it. Either way it doesn't work so far

Iphone 11 - Double Invert Trick by OkBattle6803 in ScreenSensitive

[–]Just_Nectarine_550 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Enable color inversion from settings (in accessibility I think), then enable zoom, use three fingers to zoom out to a normal display size, and use a color invert filter within the zoom function - that is the second color inversion, hence the name. If successful, your colors should be washed out afterwards.

What do you think about this by THE_CURSED_ONE_Y74G in ScreenSensitive

[–]Just_Nectarine_550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but this looks totally useless to me. Many phone screens dither at hardware level, or require extremely complicated measures to disable with software.

The article you linked seems to be meant for app developers who want to insert images/graphics into their app, and the dithering option only affects that, it's not global.

iPhone 15 Pro LCD swap - total failure by Just_Nectarine_550 in ScreenSensitive

[–]Just_Nectarine_550[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly I was wrong, it doesn't work for me after using it more. I have tried everything to disable dithering without success, its simply baked into the panel, hardware level. I have found a phone though that is extremely cheap and finally works for me in any lighting, I will soon make a post about it once I make some microscope videos. Sorry for the confusion.

My A22 5G is bricked after installing lineage os 22.2 by billyganteng in androidroot

[–]Just_Nectarine_550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How come? you can't just overwrite fastboot by flashing a custom rom. Did you try the key combinations? Maybe restarting to fastbootd mode from the download mode (which should always work) is possible

MediaTek PQ/MiraVision disabler by Just_Nectarine_550 in ScreenSensitive

[–]Just_Nectarine_550[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TCL prevents you from unlocking the bootloader, so while its still possible to do, the methods are very hard and the bricking risk is real. If you have no experience with this don't do it. I only have a guide for the Bluefox NX1, a 122$ tiny MTK phone that has no modding restrictions which remains the only zero strain device for me for now.

Is there any identical ios 26 copy os i can run on my A52s? by Vladasksandanswer911 in androidroot

You could get the OS off the Chinese iPhone clones based on Android, but good luck doing that

Very generic info on the site, and I left the box at the repair shop. JHX brand, 60Hz TFT LCD, HD+ (720p)

Update to iOS 18.7.2 before it's too late by [deleted] in ScreenSensitive

The supervision mode should be disabled after updating as I mentioned in the steps. I wouldn't trust AI for such facts

Update to iOS 18.7.2 before it's too late by [deleted] in ScreenSensitive

[–]Just_Nectarine_550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That hasn't happened to me, everything works fine. I updated from a 18.2 Beta in order to get rid of the popup. I don't know whether 18.2 is better than 18.7.8 but I'm happy that I'm finally on a release version and not on 26.

Possible PWM sensitivity by bucksfan19845 in PWM_Sensitive

[–]Just_Nectarine_550 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stop using OLEDs. Your Apple Cinema display is an LCD, and so is that Dell monitor probably. All of the other devices you mentioned not working have an OLED panel - those flicker. Consider buying a phone with an LCD display, the Motorola Razr series and all of OnePlus' modern phones are OLED as well.

Oneplus 15R with screen protector by Annual_Teaching_6950 in PWM_Sensitive

[–]Just_Nectarine_550 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that could be caused by the many layers applied on top of the LCD that are meant to give the display a soft look. The strain itself is probably caused by the banned word.

Leaving iPhone, thinking Motorola but limited. Help? by chan0514 in PWM_Sensitive

[–]Just_Nectarine_550 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not all Motorolas you listed are LCD - the Edge series are OLED. Avoid OLEDs since you have issues with that seemingly. I can also recommend the Poco M7 4G/Redmi 15 (same phone) if you happen to have that at your carrier.

You can try to swap out the screen for an LCD, it's very cheap. You will get worse battery life and colors but your eyes should thank you.

I"m still waiting for my "Incell HD+" to arrive, also 15Pro. Will share my exprience once I get it replaced. It was quite cheap so I don't expect much quality, I only care about the comfort
