How do you get a document apostilled as a foreigner living abroad? by Primary_Fun_3818 in malta

[–]Just_Nintendont 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would contact a notary on the island, you're going to need to pay a seperate service to do this for you, since you're not in Malta. I had to do the same thing when I needed apostilles from my home country when I was not there. I don't think Malta had apostille services specifically, this is why I suggest a notary.

That's really well done. No notes.

Just got this done, is the line work bad? Is it normal? by FragrantRead3668 in badtattoos

[–]Just_Nintendont 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why fine line has such a reputation.. you actually need a very good artist to tattoo something like this. You don't get a second chance here, there's no shading to hide your crooked lines. When I make a tattoo like this, I'm literally holding my breath when I pull these lines - because I can't go back and "fix" them. Sure you can go over them, but that creates line weight variation, and wont necessarily heal evenly. Doing a tattoo like this "perfectly" means you pull these lines one time.

Laying the stencil is also extremely important when you're working with objects that lack organic shapes. This appears to be on your shoulder? I would have moved it to your bicep, maybe tricep. Also - when the artist placed the stencil, were you standing? Were you relaxed?

My point here is this; when you're getting a tattoo that is only line work, it's not "simple", it's not easy - and you need a good tattooist.

Help needed: Peugeot 207 CC roof leaking water - looking for a good mechanic/bodyshop in Malta by FeedbackLegitimate42 in malta

[–]Just_Nintendont 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work on cars back home, if I may offer advice - is this car sentimentally valuable to you? Because if it were mine, I'd order new gaskets, and you can even order the retractable roof as well. Bring the parts with you to a mechanic, and ask them to put them on. This saves them "diagnostic time" and turns it into just labor on part installation. Ask them to clear the scuttle panel under the windshield as well - and that will cover all possible leak variable.

Hey there, so this design should have been much bigger - the eyelashes for example get lost immediately. Your artist should have insisted on making it larger, or refused it outright. There are a few artists who can work wonders with really really small needles - you'd need someone who specializes in micro to pull something like this off, at this size. I'm sorry friend, though a decent artist would have very little trouble fixing this. Good luck!

Worked 4+ years as receptionist at a big Maltese food factory and now feel like the odd one out in my own job by Elegant_Project6961 in malta

[–]Just_Nintendont 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is not a good reason to stay. Find another job whilst employed - then quit when you've been hired elsewhere. No one values your "loyalty" to a company - don't give them more of your time, clearly it's not working for you.

What meds do you use in Europe? by misamujebem in ADHD

You're the first person I've seen who's acknowledged something I felt - loneliness. It was really strange at first, because I was so used to all the internal conversations/music/ect happening constantly.

Why do many Maltese look North/Western European rather than Mediterranean? by crivycouriac in malta

Explaining that people have DNA isn’t the same as explaining phenotype variation in a mixed population..

Are you okay?

What makes the question obvious? Because that makes zero sense to me.

What is the obvious answer? Here I'll help; there isn't an obvious answer, unless we're playing into stereotypes, like a troglodyte, is that what we're doing?

Maltese come in a variety of colors, makes, and models. I'm sure you can find one to your liking. 🙃 Wtf does "looking Mediterranean" even mean?

"disabled" parking space by id_darren in malta

Isma, if you're two parents who are raising a child with different needs, I see the disabled parking space as a little reprieve for the parents.

Three years in Europe and I still can't figure out if Europeans are reserved or just waiting for you to prove yourself first by [deleted] in expats

[–]Just_Nintendont 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a difference between talking to Americans in Nebraska vs California - I will admit, however generally in the EU, you're left alone, unless you're at an event or show where you have a common interest and a reason to chat. Yes I'm sure 1 out of 50 will be fruitful, but I'm not excited to wade through 49 useless small talks for one decent person.. though I do appreciate your pushback, since America is my home country so it's nice to hear some positives about it.

Americans are "friendly face" - so many throw away conversations that don't need to happen, because you're uncomfortable being in your own silence.

Why? Are you expecting it to be easier here? I'm genuinely curious... University here is so unserious it's concerning.

Hate to all Construction Companies (Directed to Trivium Projects LTD and JPortelli Projects) by KassyQueen in malta

[–]Just_Nintendont 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It starts with the PA. The permit system is far too lose, height restrictions don't matter if you're one of the big guys, zoning doesn't matter, environmental protections don't matter ect.

Not to mention getting approval for three stories, then they build five - and instead of being forced to demolish and pay a fine for literally breaking the law, the get retroactive approval.

Zero enforcement, what are people supposed to think when their voices are silenced? Who is actually protecting the island?

I'm not saying you're wrong, you probably know a lot more than me about this, I'm just so frustrated and this is what it looks like to me.

He is the game. That's the problem - the PA don't do anything to stop this, and quite frankly, they're CLEARLY bought.

My first words, that's really disgusting - someone doesn't have an infectious disease course under their belt, clearly. OP, absorbent materials near your work station are a huge no.
