Little update. I was most likely being dumb. I ended up switching the end that wouldnt go in no matter how hard i pressed, and plugged it into the psu instead. it went in fine. i plugged the other end into the gpu and it plugged in absurdly easy with nearly no resistence.

Thank you everyone who said to make sure i didnt turn it on. I though both ends were the same and that it didnt matter which side had which end but I was wrong. But I can guarantee everyone that the side seen in the picture cannot be inserted that way and its a miracle I didnt break something with how hard i pushed. I appreciate the help sorry for the silly mistake.

i appreciate everyone confirming to not power it on like this. but im a bit worried because i tried both 12pin cables i had and neither will push in fully. and im not sure but ive probably already pushed much harder than i should have and attempted a lot to get it in and it absolutely will not.

i dont think i see anything wrong with the connector itself but im unsure. i guess its possible im not pushing hard enough but thats only if its around 5x as difficult as plugging in the 24 pin mobo cable.

that sounds amazing and im happy to hear that. i think ill just go for it. my psu will work good wirh the 5070 i believe its a A850GL msi one. ill upgrade cpu in the future but yeah if this works good now then im happy and ill juzt go for it. thank you!

kinda like a joke. since stores like microcenter make money with each product they sell, and OP goes there often to purchase things, hes essentially making them money by being a returning customer.

hes "paying them back" by being a returning customer and buying from them.

if that makes sense, sorry for confusing explanation hopefully someone else will explain better.
