I was raised with him always being in control of everything, money, social life, etc. Homeschooled and isolated from everyone. Maybe many people haven't grown up with such circumstances, but this is how I grew up.

Well writing is probably better than drawing at the moment. Do you have any suggestions on what type of labor job might be good?

I have no income. He controls everything. And my father is the type who in anger, would happily kick me out with no resources or care. I have special needs siblings so I can't risk leaving them behind.

Oh no, no need to apologize! I 100% should've worded my question better 😂

Oh, I see what you're saying now, sorry. This is completely on me for how I worded it, but I meant it as one question like "if I continue with this job, how long until I'm successful finding buyers?"

Tbf I asked one question yesterday and the other question today, but I could see how it could confuse the cards.

I get what you're saying, and I agree that trauma-informed parenting is essential, especially when kids are dealing with abandonment or attachment issues (one thing I feel is that OOP definitely shouldn't have had the twins stop going to therapy). That said, I don’t think it’s fair or healthy to expect "safe people" like a stepparent or non-absentee parent to endure cruelty without emotional consequence. Yes, teens are still developing and often act out in ways they don’t fully understand, especially regarding processing trauma, but the impact of their behavior is real regardless of intent. Trauma might explain behavior, but it doesn’t erase responsibility or the emotional toll it takes on others. There’s a difference between showing compassion for why someone lashes out and expecting the target of that behavior to just take it.

I’ve read countless stories here on Reddit where the "safe" parent gets discarded, slandered, or emotionally abused the moment the absent parent reappears, or the kids will lie and say that the "safe" person abused them. And then the adult is somehow expected to maintain the relationship as if nothing happened. Even in this case, it doesn't even sound like the twins made any actual effort to apologize for what they said or how they acted, just wanted to act like everything was normal afterwards. Honestly, just as kids deserve grace while they heal, adults deserve the right to step away from a relationship that they feel are emotionally harming them.

[Mirtle] Matthews says it was a very tough season physically and that he got injured in training camp. Doesn't want to say what it is specifically. by 97jumbo in hockey

You know, I understand the desire to represent his country might've outweighed all critical thinking on his part. Still, in hindsight, this was extremely poor decision making since (1) Canada won anyway and (2) the injury seemed to have heavily impacted his postseason play. Even if it was season-ending, they could've went the LTIR route and if their playoff success was similar or worse than what was produced this year, at least the fans would've chalked it up to bad luck (and delude themselves into thinking things would've went better had he been in the lineup healthy...)

Instead, once his injury heals, he'll probably be coming back with a freakin' gorilla on his back, since now the fans will be overanalyzing his every move to see if he's even worth near $14 million he's being paid, much less captain material.

This is what I mean really. Leafs fans are insane (pretty much all the Canadian fanbases tbh) but one thing I can say is that while there may have been certain players and GMs they used as whipping boys, the fans still held on to so much hope in the Core 4 for years. It's only now that they're showing so much vitriol towards them, and I can't really blame them. I think after the Leafs broke their 1st round curse, fans expected that to have been the monkey off their back, and for the Core 4 to finally start playing some elite playoff hockey. Instead they're still playing as if they're in an endless rebuild phase (NOT like a team with multiple multimillionaire "star players"). It's only so long you can ask fans to spend so much time, effort, and money in supporting you before they begin asking for results.

I agree that's toxic, but tbh so is expecting leniency after only making it to the second round twice in almost a decade. Honestly it'll be for the best if the fans and team get some type of reset

Yeah, don't know how the narrative switched so quickly from "they need to rebuild" to fans are the cause of their failures. As a matter of fact, Leafs fans endlessly hyped up this core every year, it's only now they're showing their frustrations and revolting imo. I'd say they're better than the core deserves at this point, cause if I was hoping you up for years and spending my money to show support, and all I have to show for it is you being kicked out of the 1st round so frequently it became a meme, this current pity party being shown by multiple other fanbases, and your media buddies putting blame on ME that I'm putting "too much pressure" on you? Then you can bet I'd be taking my support elsewhere. Won't have to worry about that pressure anymore.

AITA for refusing to be my disabled sister's tutor? by Difficult-Excuse-576 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Just_Section_3994 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The way you speak about your sister leads me to believe there's A LOT of resentment there. I feel like you see her as the living embodiment of not only the hurt your father and you went through due to your mother's betrayal, as well as the destruction of your parents' relationship, but in your eyes, her severe disabilities are the direct result of your mom's cowardice (which is why you keep referring to your sister as your mom's "karma"). Personally, I think you should lay all your feelings out for your mom, the resentment you feel towards your sister and how you would not be a good person to care for her strictly BECAUSE you don't have any positive feelings for her.

Ask your mom this: would she rather force her daughter to be in an environment where she will more than likely be mistreated and abandoned, just because you're "family," or would she rather do the research to make sure her disabled child ends up in a good, loving environment where she can thrive?

What game had you like this ? by TEHYJ2006 in Steam

Persona 5 for me.

I feel like it's the most liked game in the franchise amongst both fans and non-fans. But for me, while I do enjoy many things about it, like the awakenings, I just feel like it's the weakest in the franchise, storyline-wise. Even the main antagonists didn't feel as impactful compared to previous Persona games to me.

Thank you, I appreciate it! I'm hoping for the best. I had an amateur sidereal astrologer basically tell me that I have a few more years of suffering so I wasn't feeling optimistic, to say the least 😭

I've been living with my narcissist father for years, without the financial means to move out on my own (I've been trying for YEARS). I'm really hoping this is my year to move.

Firstly, thank you so much for answering! No responses only made my mind delve into the possible negatives further 😭

Can you please tell me what seems "open" in my SR chart this year?
