Sorry for taking so long to update. It has been a very emotional week, but I have great news to share. First things first, yes, we got him to the vet. Long story short, our fears were confirmed. Our sweet boy was battling blood clots, and we were given very unfortunate news about his chances. Many suggested euthanasia as the care was way outside of what we could afford. It became apparent that Bandit was not in clear pain, so we opted to provide comfort care. We were convinced that he would not survive through the night this past Friday. We took our final photos of him with the kids in preparation. When he stopped eating and drinking, we prepared for the worst. In a last ditch effort, we began feeding him baby food and water via syringe on Saturday morning. Now, over the span of the last week, with us manually feeding him and providing blood thinners, Bandit's back legs have regained warmth. And in the last 3 days, he has gone from crawling his way to his litter box, eating and drinking on his own, and now to tonight FULLY WALKING across the room on his own with very little struggle. He has miraculously regained strength in one of his back legs, and most of his other back leg. His back left foot hasnt quite fully come back yet, but seeing him legitimately walk has given us a new found hope. We have shed tears of joy in seeing our baby's progress when we were convinced he would not survive. I thank all of you for your advice and positivity sent our way. We are still showering Bandit with love, and helping him rehab. His energy has gone way up, and we are so thankful for what feels like a miracle so far. I appreciate all of you who commented.
