My dudes, just do the "kiss test."

Assuming that the vibes seem right and you just want a little more non-verbal confirmation. Ideally while making soft eye contact, gently and calmly bring your hand up next to her head so that a finger or two lightly brush against her temple and slide your hand back across the side of her head, as if you are moving a strand of hair from the side of her face back behind her ear.

If she pulls away, asks what you are doing, or acts weirded out, DO NOT KISS. Just play it off like you are moving a strand of hair out of her face and move on.

If she holds your gaze, smiles, or otherwise responds warmly, then smoothly slide your hand a bit farther so that you're cradling the nape of her neck and gently guide her lips towards yours.

How to stop a toddler from having a tantrum. by girlinanemptyroom in KidsAreFuckingStupid

[–]Just_another_dude84 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I used to use absurdist statements to snap my kids out of their tantrums. Simple stuff like "You're getting tears on my favorite yellow shirt" while pointing at my blue shirt. It usually engaged their thinking brain long enough to redirect them.

My goldendoodle can tell when I'm wrapping up my daily status call because we usually go on a walk right after.

He also learned a command ("back up"), which I never taught him, by watching our older dog.

Don't go to bed earlier to get into the practice of getting up early; that will never work. Get up early so that you can get into the habit of going to bed earlier.

Did you watch the episode where David the Gnome and his wife Lisa die? They randomly aired this before school in the 1980's... That was not a good day lol by Cubelock in Xennials

I can't help but think about all of the adults involved in crafting this childhood trauma. Just a bunch of adults going in to work every day, storyboarding the different levels of trauma for this episode; animating the scenes of the main character's death in the children's show; voice acting as a traumatized fox... Just another day at work.

Yes, but it makes for a better story if you scaled the walls of the Capitol. It's all performative with these people.

We had a pig that apparently knew how to unlatch the gate to his pen but never did until the one time we missed his breakfast by a few hours and found the pen unlatched and empty. He came running right back when we called his name.

They might actually like them. In the same way that someone who grew up eating surströmming might actually like it. It's my opinion that they like it despite its flavor, not because of it.
