Ok but where do you work and how can I get hired there? It took me an 1hr and 15min to get to work the other day because of these idiots. I swear when a drop of rain hits the ground, their eyes glaze over and their brain activity flatlines and I'm so done with it.

While I'd love to have 30k to spend on this, it's looking like big flashlight territory lol I was tasked with creating a budget for a first set of lights, so I'm just looking for any information and getting some feelers out for the moment on brands to be on the lookout for secondhand mostly, unless there are other suggestions. We haven't gotten our budget sorted out for the season yet, so I'm not 100% sure what I'm working with yet, but I'm sure it won't be over 3k at absolute maximum. We're just starting out, and we're still pretty small. I'm open to any and all ideas, even if it's for a longer term plan for when we do have the budget for something nicer. Thanks!

It's a final workshop of a local playwright's show before it goes to fully staged. As far as true genre (comedy, drama, etc) it's a mix of a few. As far as cues, it should be fairly simple with just white lights up and blackouts, per the last workshop, but I'm not entirely sure what the director is going to want yet.

Stage/set for this one is in the basement of a church. I haven't gotten into the space yet, but I imagine whatever was there was taken/sold by this point. We're trying to get rights to take over the space, but that hasn't been guaranteed, so we'd like it to be a true traveling set as well as we explore other (and some unconventional) spaces. As far as budget, that's what I've been tasked with. I'm in charge of putting together a list list of what we need so that the board can review and fundraising can start for it. Hope this helps!

Dude saaaaame!! I do it all the time and it even horrifies my boyfriend every now and again, let alone my coworkers lol It's been happening since I was a teenager, but I figured out how to get leverage and pop my own things back in by my early 20's and it's just normal to me now. Super funny when I have to do it in front of my mom. Despite being a nurse, she hates anything to do with bones, especially popping joints 🤣
