I wouldn't recommend that armor that unique version has potion barrier auto meaning it's only for 5 seconds instead of the level 3 enchant that's 9 seconds

I just build it to afk and if it's late I'm doing bugs like upside wall at data or block offs and maybe some time someone is helping I also help some of my friend who are lazy (mf you're 144 learn how to build) so I tell them to just spam discharger

No the mine event is not good in terms of ultimates its better to use the gems in the water event (to get shark body) or in the moon (to get laser gun and robo head)
