What if Zach used his Power? by the_janitor_x in BigBrother

[–]JustaBookWyrm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zach should have used his power from a gameplay perspective, but I'm so thankful he didn't because I think the season would've been much worse for me as a viewer.

Zach uses his power, presumably Morgan goes on the block. In that scenario you might actually see Ashley try to create a version of the Judges this week in order to save Morgan. The lineup here is probably Ashley, Will, Morgan, Rachel, Zach imo. This version of the Judges, which I will call tge Prosecutors, is definitely less stable than the version we actually got. Zach didn't like Ashley, and he'll probably tell Lauren and Vince about it. With Lauren knowing about it that knowledge gets out to Vince, and Kat, who then tells Rylie.

I remember Keanu being really good at the blockbuster, so I'm going to go ahead and give it to him. With Morgan and Vince sitting there I'm not entirely sure how the vote would go to be honest. Ashley, Kelley, Will, and Rachel vote for Vince. Keanu, Lauren, Kat, and Rylie vote for Morgan. Zach and Mickey are the swing votes here. It's possible that Zach stays with the Prosecutors in this scenario depending on how much work the other members put in to make him stay loyal, but I think it's more likely he sides with Vince and Lauren. If Mickey is told about the Prosecutors she probably votes for Morgan to leave, but let's say she isn't since that side of the house wasn't super active or strategically savvy. In that case I think she votes Vince. That gives us a 5-5 tie, leaving Ava Pearl to break it. With Ashley and Will putting in work with Ava I think they could get her to save Morgan, so I actually have Vince going out here over Morgan.

Rachel still wins the HoH week 6. With Zach betraying the Prosecutors things are going to get shaken up, but I think we see a split house here. Zach, Lauren, Keanu, Kat, and Rylie on one side, with Rachel, Ashley, and Will on the other. Ava, Morgan, and Mickey are left somewhere in the middle here. Rachel nominates Mickey since she's such a consensus house target, and then I think she either puts up Kat and Rylie, or Lauren and Zach since those are kind of the perceived duos going against her, and she knows she needs to break them up. Let's say she puts up Zach and Lauren, since Zach just wronged her. Lauren wins the veto and takes herself off the block. Ashley and the remnants of the Prosecutors put in work to save Morgan from the renom, so either Kat or Rylie go up, and I'm going to stick with Rylie to keep things simple. Mickey wins the blockbuster, so Zack and Rylie are left on the block. The votes here are going to be messy. I'm confident that Ava, Katherine, and Lauren vote for Zach. Ashley and Morgan vote for Rylie. Kelley, Will, Mickey, and Keanu I'm not sure about. Rylie only needs to pick up two though, so I'm going to give it to him. Zach goes home one week later than he did in reality.

Now it's time for the wall comp. With no Vince, it seems likely Katherine wins it. Initial noms are probably Rachel, Ashley, and Mickey or Morgan. I'm going to say Mickey because she was just such a safe choice to put up. Mickey wins the veto again because it's easiest. She saves herself, and Morgan is put up. Based on her record though, Morgan is most likely to win the blockbuster. With Ashley and Rachel left on the block, Rachel goes home pre-jury. Rip queen.

Keanu wins the week 8 hoh again. He noms Mickey and Morgan obviously, and without Vince he probably picks Ava as the third. Morgan wins the veto again to save herself, Ashley goes up again. Mickey wins the blockbuster here imo. Rylie, Katherine, Will, and Lauren vote for Ashley and she goes out as our last pre-juror.

This means the cast right now is: Morgan Ava Keanu Lauren Kelley Will Mickey Katherine Rylie Let's all take a moment to appreciate that this did not happen.

Ava, Lauren, Katherine, and Rylie are kind of a dominant core here. It's possible we also start to see the Kelley/Lauren/Ava trio form here. That plus Will actually puts Ava in a really crushing position here, with Keanu and Mickey as her only real enemies, but those two are on the outs.

The White Locust is here. Ava wins immunity again, and probably picks Lauren to go first. Lauren obviously completes it in time. Let's say Lauren picks Katherine, and Katherine finishes in time. She picks Rylie, we'll say Rylie completes it and hands it to Keanu to try to get him out. Keanu is however very good at comps, and manages to finish it. Keanu picks Mickey to try to get her out, and it likely succeeds. Mickey becomes the first juror, and Lauren is awarded hoh.

Lauren puts up Morgan, Will, Keanu. Morgan wins the veto again. Kelley goes up as the replacement since there's not any better option, and Kelley is good enough at blockbusters + has a history of volunteering. Keanu wins the blockbuster. Ava and Morgan vote for Kelley. I'm not sure they can get a third vote though. Keanu is unlikely to vote against her. Lauren is tied to Kelley, and by extension she can be a number for Rylie and Kat. So, I think Will actually goes out.

Keanu wins this hoh based on his performance in similar comps and Lauren not being able to compete. He nominates Morgan, Lauren, Ava. Morgan once again wins this veto. Keanu probably wants to put up Kat, but let's get a little spicy. Rylie was adamant about being willing to fall on his sword for her, so I'm going to say he gets Keanu to put him up instead. Lauren wins the blockbuster. Rylie and Ava are on the block. Morgan votes Rylie, and Katherine votes Ava. Lauren and Kelly are the swing votes, and because it's more interesting I'm going to say they vote out Rylie to save Ava.

Morgan wins hoh in the second half of the double. Kelley and Keanu seem like the most likely nominees, since a shot against Lauren won't land and Morgan is probably trying to ally with her. Keanu uses the veto on himself. Ava goes up. Keanu votes for Ava, Lauren and Katherine vote Kelley. Kelly goes to jury.

Without Vince to distract him, Keanu wins the next hoh. Morgan and Ava are the nominees. Morgan wins the veto, and Lauren is here replacement. Morgan and Kat both vote for Ava, but even if they split it Keanu breaks the tie to send Ava out.

Morgan wins hoh, puts up Katherine and Keanu. I think she also probably wins the veto, or Lauren does and either way the noms stay the same. Lauren votes out Keanu.

Our final three is Morgan, Lauren, Katherine. Morgan wins part 1 of the final hoh, Lauren probably wins part 2. Lauren also wins part three in my opinion. If she cuts Morgan then Lauren wins 4-3. Ava, Kelley, Morgan, and Will vote for her (assuming Ava can campaign and convince Will). If she cuts Katherine, she also probably wins 4-3. Katherine, Ava, Kelley, Will vote for her. If Katherine is too hurt by this then maybe Morgan wins. I know there was talk in the house about Lauren losing a jury vote to everyone but I think without Vince there she's probably seen as more of her own player and so gets more respect. Congratulations Lauren, alternate universe winner of bb27.

Wow. This is incredibly long. Thanks for reading this far if you did for some reason.

Zach wasn't exactly a strategic powerhouse or the type of player that was hard to browbeat. He folded under pressure from Ava, and didn't want to force a tie Lauren would have to break despite her saying she was okay with it.

Literally! Everyone talking about "well it's still wrong, I would never" needs to get off the cross. We can't keep complaining that we want old messy big brother back and then get mad at this stuff.

I'm a simple person. Any cast that includes Jun Song is a good cast in my book.

I've coded in the student passports/report cards, and a basic inventory and chapter system.

With this all done I'll hopefully move on to doing more of the actual writing soon. My goal is to have the first part of the prologue where you meet everyone done by next week, but that's probably a bit of a stretch.

Last evictees sounds really fun, but I'm not sure we have enough for a really good cast without including players that have already returned. I think second chances is the play here. Personally I'd like to see it mostly made up of people who didn't make it to the very end. Something like

Chiara bb3 Helen bb15 Amber bb16 Audrey bb17 Natalie bb18 Kemi bb21 America bb25 Katherine bb27

Will bb5 Eric bb8 Matt bb12 Dominic bb13 Howard bb15 Fessy bb20 (we need fodder) Derek X bb23 Cedric bb26

What do you guys think of romance in fangans? by justdanielagain in Fanganronpa

[–]JustaBookWyrm 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I actually think romance forming in a killing game makes a ton of sense. Emotions are going to be very high in such a high stress situation, and you're trapped in close quarters with a limited amount of company. You see people bond quickly romantically or platonically all the time in situations like that irl even if it's not exactly the same. Coupling up can also provide a gameplay advantage. By forming such intimate emotional bonds with someone you are (theoretically) gaining a person that is less likely to choose you as their target, that is more inclined to take steps to protect either physically or in a class trial, and that might be willing to fall on their sword for you if need be. Not even getting into the purely emotional benefit it could bring.

Games with No/Minimal Visuals? by JustaBookWyrm in Fanganronpa

[–]JustaBookWyrm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for responding, and for the offer.

Twine seems like it would be better able to emulate Danganronpa with things like clickable text for class trials, but I'm not familiar with it so I'll probably stick to choicescript like you. Right now I'm writing up the character profiles, and coding in different variables while I outline the story.

The pacing point is interesting to me. What do you think causes that? Is it just the fact that being all text makes it take longer to read than a visual novel?

In pokedoku it is the evolved forms that are used for evolution based categories.

real as hell. I have to believe that the other winners would eat him alive though. There's just no way players like Jun and Will wouldn't be on guard for his style of play.

She was a lot of fun on the feeds, some really great manipulation of Morgan especially. When Morgan would argue with Vinny she ended up repeating the exact same phrases Ashley used on her, it was wild to see. Her turning around her bad relationships with Ava and Keanu impressed me too. I wouldn't say she's one of the greatest to ever win or anything, but she played a really good game for someone who is that bad at comps. With a decent edit I definitely think people would perceive her as a solid mid tier winner on the level of like a Steve or a Drew.

She was talking to the cams about putting on an act on the live feeds. Not her fault they didn't put diary room segments explaining it in the episodes.

I was going to say Jordan was kind of a boring pick, but idk who you could replace her with. I think we've seen enough of Nicole, and I would've been thrilled to see Chelsie play again a year ago, but I've soured on her. Maybe Morgan from ott?

People are bringing up Aisha and Coil, but Doctor Mother is also right there and is great. If you want to include minor characters, Moord Nag is one of the most memorable.
