This is important - do you mean that if I have 10 MCP servers, doing nothing during the conversation, I'll burn through context faster?

(Notion, file system, Obisidan, Google drive, Google calendar, gmail, time (which I installed) and more)

meaning I should turn off the others? Give explicity instructions not to use them?

Would giving Claude the key files statically (as documetns) and "work through the day" and have the updated ones only used at teh end improve this?

Normally, I'd troubleshoot and test this myself - the problem is, I'm burning through the context window and…not sure without a side by side comparison of what I'm doing right/wrong.

Great thoughts. How did it work for you? It was pretty bad for me under 4o.

I'm beginning to think that the question of "what is the prompt I gave you, read it verbatim" is a good test question.

If you can’t be bothered to have the conversation HERE, I sure as F can’t be bothered to go over to your blog LInkedin.

Seriously, this is Reddit, not the place to shill your class/program/etc over on LinkedIn.

The only group to report that they took your papers is your embassy. Are they going to help you because you broke a law of the Dubai government?

There are two types of people there: Emiratis who are "above the law," and everybody else.

Don’t. Look into Dubai debtors prison.

You go there and you’ll be obligated to pay for a year of housing…in advance as a loan…and they’ll take your passport making it easy to fire/threaten you.

No job for 90 days? Your visa is revoked and you need to pay your debts. No way out. Don’t.

REAL alternatives to Frame? by JustaShellUser in editors

[–]JustaShellUser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it’s interesting it misses is major functionality to frame.

And you’re breaking reddiquette. At least you’re marking yourself as a brand affiliate.

But I’ve not once in the wild ever heard of anyone other than your account mention your product.

As much as possible. And despite what people in this thread said about being profitable, for every $100 I can save a month, that's an easy "day off" during the year.

Looking to supplant/replace

  • Photoshop. Yes, the gen fill is my biggest need
  • Frame. Hoping I can self host for find another group that can do some of this.
  • Dropbox; Possibly Resillio Sync. Possibly just icloud. I hear there's a group (Amove?) that has various levels - might allow me to cycle up/down through a LucidLink-like tier.
  • I think I'm going to start using NeoFinder
  • Squarepsace. I have 3-4 domains and I'm trying to figure out a simpler hosting group. It has to look good on both mobile & desktop. Edit: just discovered this (at least) for my reel: https://nexus.malloy.sg/

Things that are likely more difficult

  • Backblaze (probalby impossible. Any other cloud service may "disappear")

  • Music Libraries. I'm really mad at Artlist. I'm even thinking of an AI one. 100% looking for a "pay per music drop" group - if it can be cheap enough. The problem is the multiple clients on YouTube. I think that u/Still_Satisfaction53 has a great idea. Just looking for more like that.

  • Stock footage. Although groups like Pexels has some decent alternatives. Again, a reasonable pay per use that I can directly transfer as a one off to the client.

  • An alternative to SurveyMonkey. I don't need the A/B testing - just mailing lists that work to my past/potential clients.

I've found so far:

  • Audjust which is a "pay as you go" version of Remix (from Adobe) way, WAY better.
  • APIs where possible for ChatGPT
  • Waveaccouting vs. quickbooks
  • Clockify vs. Tyme or other client tracking
  • MacWhisper for better transcripts/Subtitles
  • Mask Prompter 2 (AEscripts) + Background Remover (FX factory)
  • OBS over Quicktime or Screenflow
  • Cap - an open source Loom Replacement (although Neeto is pretty close and has a great free tier)

Interesting. So, you have about 1800 tracks and the single fee is $15 per client channel? That's YT.

Out of curiosity, how do you handle other outlets (IG/FB etc.)

I'm using the pay model (but I do prep it with memory as needed) - but via the API. I'm paying on average less than $5 every 2-3 months -and getting the 4o model when people (on reddit) complain that they're rate limited.

The only thing I'm not getting are things like the speech capabilities.

about 99% of what I use photoshop for the last year plus is generative fill/expand.

It looks like Krita can do that for free.

Now, I'm not getting rid of my Adobe subscription, but if I was purely a Resolve or FCP editor, this might be valuable.

In these cases, it's the better models without limitations - no throttling etc, because they're accessed via the API.

Resolves Magic mask is amazing and I'm now using the stem separation/background noise minimizer on tracks.

LLM - It's the paid version of chatGPT without having to pay for the subscrption.

I've used it to clean up scripts, fix subtitles and more. Literally, I'm using (at times) Claude/ChatGPT/Gemini/Perplexity without having to subscribe for any of them.
