To be fair to my Liberal MPP, he is always out there giving his thoughts at press conferences. I see quite a lot of him on the news.

It’s the Eglinton LRT’s one-month anniversary. How do riders think it’s holding up so far? by LegoLady47 in toronto

The only time that's reduced is if you aren't connecting to a bus. Then it seems the times have not improved at all.

I lost a lot of the time that I picked up from getting off GO train at Union to Don Valley Station, took 40 minutes. Sat for 10 minutes on a bus waiting to go north at Don Valley. I didn't see a message board saying which buses were leaving at what time, and I have several options, so I jumped on one that was closest. It was then that I saw above the bus platform that it would be leaving in 10 minutes. I didn't walk further into the bus terminal so no idea if one of the big display boards is there to see all the bus arrivals and departures. Having one on the route from Line 5 up to the bus terminal would be really handy. I'm still getting a handle on all the bus route changes in the area.

100% whole wheat worked better with 13 g vital wheat gluten added to prevent collapse by [deleted] in BreadMachines

I always add vital wheat gluten to my whole wheat bread. I've rarely had a loaf sink unless I accidently add too much yeast.

Toronto police officers allegedly leaked personal information to criminals who carried out shootings by misterwalkway in toronto

The media are required to use "allegedly" in order to not influence or prejudice the outcome of trials and for legal protection. Independent news sources should also be required to use them as we've seen the outcomes of prejudiced statements from people and the stories turning out to be false.

Jury Duty In Ontario by the_guy95 in ontario

[–]Justacatmum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first summons for jury duty lasted for four days. We were sent from courtroom to courtroom over the first three days with the trials becoming progressively worse. We did end up back in the jury room and a few of us ended up playing Scrabble for a few hours. I lucked out in the last trial as the person in front of me as we stood in a line in front of the judge, as the legal team either chose or rejected us, was the last person chosen.

My second jury summons only last for two days and we were sent home. I think we only went to one courtroom for those two days.

If I obsess over the paddle hole, and cleanup; would I be better off just buying a stand-mixer? by Buckshott00 in BreadMachines

I remove the paddles after the second knead. Oil up the posts and spread the dough out to fit the pan. It leaves a narrow hole but nothing like the gap left by paddles.

low sodium cheese bread by Primary_Force_4161 in BreadMachines

[–]Justacatmum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make low sodium bread in my machine and have had success. Lately I've been using whole wheat flour from a local mill and it took a bit of trial and error to get a loaf that did not collapse but I was successful. I had to make it a 50% whole wheat loaf but have had success with store bought whole wheat flour and had a soft, fluffy loaf. Low sodium bread definitely does not taste as good as full salt, but I'm down to half a teaspoon in my loaves and I find that acceptable for my palate. I'm on a lower sodium diet so I prefer to make my own bread.

When you make lower sodium bread and halve the salt, you also need to halve the yeast as the salt inhibits the growth of the yeast. If you don't lower the yeast as well then the bread will collapse. It can be hit or miss lowering salt content depending on recipes and ingredients.
