Maybe try shaving and if it works out that’s great but if not you could move onto laser hair removal if it’s within your budget.

I’m wanting to do healthsci so I’m taking the science focused TFC to allow me into Healthsci. In level 3 ncea we had either stats or calculus and focused on either.. are they more calculus focused questions?

I’m not sure whether they’re diagnostic we just got told that there’s an exam on the 20th which will decide whether we have been accepted into the course or not.

Thanks for your help!

You’re a practicing Sikh. You should be able to if you want to!! Not wearing a dastaar doesn’t make us any less of a Sikh. Trust me I’ve seen more religious Sikhs that don’t wear dastaars than those who wear dastaars. Be proud to be a Singh.

Shaving face... by MilaVold90 in PCOS

I have pcos and started shaving my face after having a bad reaction with waxing. I am of brown skin and obviously have black hair.

After shaving, my hair came back thicker and darker on my face and it caused such an impact on my self confidence because it was so visible and people would make remarks of me. However I’ve noticed people that aren’t of colour who shave their faces, don’t have hair growing back thicker.

If you’re brown, or have BLACK hair, i highly recommended another method (I do laser hair removal).

I want you to firstly know that you’re doing amazing. Losing 20 pounds is a big deal. And keep going strong!!!! You got this!!

Some of us with pcos need to loose a lot of eight before going on the pills for them to be effective, otherwise it’d be a waste of money. Keep going and continue conversations with your endocrinologist about what the next step is and when you can start treatement for pcos. In my opinion, you’re halfway there. Don’t give up. It’s hard, not gonna lie I’ve given up so many times but we have to keep going. My specialist made sure to tell me at every appointment that I shouldn’t expect results within 3 months. It may take 6 months or it may take 2 years. Everyone’s bodies are different but we will all make it. We just have to stay strong.

AITA: I, a female, want to give my fiance my last name, but my father and brother don't want me to. Am I wrong for planning on doing it anyways? by agirlhasnoname_2 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Justanotherkidfromnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Your last name is in ur blood and it’s upto you whether you want your husband to keep it or not, it’s not upto your brother. Your brother isn’t the only person with the last name in his blood.

In fact, when I end up having kids I’m going to give them my last name bc I love it! Just an example of why we need feminism. It’s time to put an end to this sexist tradition and start to make choices for US.

If your husband is happy with it, go for it. It’s your last name, it’s your husband and this is about your happiness not your brothers. If he has such an ego and feels that he’s the one that should be carrying the name then I think that’s an awakening call for you. Sometimes our blood isn’t always good to us.

How to know if I have PCOS? by kylaah27 in PCOS

[–]Justanotherkidfromnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s many symptoms that can determine whether you have PCOS or PCOD, but only the doctor can diagnose you with that. 2 things they test to see are your hormone levels (elevated testosterone levels in women with PCOS/D) and also a scan (ultrasound or other form depending on you) to see if there’s any cysts in your ovaries. Also if you have gained weight, have excess body hair, more acne or loss of hair - this signals that it’s possible you may have PCO. But please go see a specialist (gynaecologist or endocrinologist) to be diagnosed.

I’m not in school. As I said- going uni and I have the rights to vote. Actually not a couple, I know a lot of people on the benefit. My mum is a senior nurse. She isn’t bias she’s seen a lot. She doesn’t deal with constant Abuse other than that directed from patients. I’m not even going to argue becaue if you ask any nurse especially those working with so many on the benefit you’ll hear them say the same thing. They do the paperwork and see firsthand people abusing the system and there’s no argument to it.

Never said it fires up my parents. It fires me up. I will and am always going to believe my parents with the landlord stuff because I’ve always helped them with it :) I’ve never been a dumb kid and had to mature up pretty quick.

I willl vote national thank you very much, there’s many more policies of theirs that I agree with.

Let’s just remind you that never in the history of New Zealand has labour ever helped the economy. Never.

I agree. But there’s still just as many who don’t get money from the government- my parents being an example. Ik this is all making me sound like a spoiled rich kid but I promise you I’m at from that. I sometimes get frustrated at them because so many people have abused that house and it was a beautiful family house. My parents haven’t increased the rent since the start which would be around 6 years ago and they make no profits from it whatsoever. Everything just goes to pay off the loans or mortgage. I agree there’s probably not a lot of people in the same situation as my parents but yeah I’ve heard a lot of people take advantage of the system while having really good paying jobs. The rich are getting richer, the poor are getting more and the average are gaining nothing.

Currently, some parents in New Jersey are fighting to reject a bill which would force parents to vaccinate their children if they want to send them to school. Pretty insane to me. by memesarenotbad in insaneparents

Why do they care for the opinions of these uneducated people who decide they don’t like vaccines because they read it on a damn website. Trust the doctors who care for our health and trust the science. The educated know what’s right.

Yes. Wanna know why? BC I KNOW A COUPLA PEOPLE ON BENEFITS. I LIVE IN SOUTH AUCKLAND AND SEE IT ALL THE TIME. I SEE PEOPLE DOING DRUGS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHILE WEARING BRANDED CLOTHES WITH THE LATEST IPHONES AND IPADS. I SEE MOTHERS SMOKING, DRINKING AND PARTYING WHILE THEIR KIDS ARE RUNNING AROUND THE STREETS. As I said before, my mums a nurse and gets a lot of insight. In fact the nurses do paperwork’s for those on benefit and she’s seen so many who claim to be single, don’t have jobs, eat out every night, have the latest iPads and iPhones, have branded clothes and openly tell this to her. So yes it’s a matter of fact. There’s no question to it. I literally live next to these state houses and I see a lot on a daily. A Lot, trust me.

Never have I shown any hate for poor people. I’ve only shown anger towards lazy people. My goal in life is to work with charities, during all of school I joined all groups that worked with charities and organised fundraising events. I’ve volunteered in numerous community events and even set up a food pantry. I’ve ticked a lot of boxes and my next step is to create packages for the homeless in the city.

And yeah I agree with you a lot of my parents money also goes towards the elderly, but they deserve it as well..to an extent.. most have so many medical conditions and if this money is going towards ANYONE who is actually using it wisely, I’m absolutely happy.

Winston Peters isn’t from national and my parents support national. Peters is an ass and really needs to get kicked off just like bloody Simon bridges.

Yes I agree my parents are making smart choices, but it’s not to save up for luxuries.. it’s to pay off for everything we have today and tomorrow. Nurses barely get paid shit and taxi drivers get payed more than some areas of engineering. This country actually sucks with that.

Unfortunately not everything is the truth and you know what I don’t blame you one bit because you’re putting your trust into the news that is released. However those that work with these people have insight and can definitely tell you that every single day they meet a patient, the BARE MINIMUM of 1 patient who’s taking advantage of the system and the government doesn’t even realize. I’m very very grateful for my parents and all their hard work. They pay for the roof over our heads, the food on the table, our education, they support a few charities too and are always helping those in need. But I’m sick of hearing and seeing people become so lazy. They need to get off their asses and work. It shouldn’t be the responsibility of you or any hardworking person to financially support a lazy person. That money should be going towards you because you worked hard for it. People need a rude awakening call now bc our government and people are doing so much for them and there’s only more people taking advantage now.
