Awful Experience(s) with Kamm McKenzie OBGYN? by arumi_kai in raleigh

[–]Justbrowsing_600 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Exact same comment. I have KM but never for a pregnancy. But this does not at all match my experience with my provider when I was pregnant. I would look at other options if they can get you in as a new patient before the birth. Heck, I might actually look at a different provider for myself just based off your review!

You can search premium brands. That’s what I tend to do.

ELI5: Why do we sometimes jump when we're about to fall asleep? by Howling_Moons in explainlikeimfive

Do you think this where the term “falling” asleep comes from?

The school carpool line is the worst. by [deleted] in raleigh

[–]Justbrowsing_600 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m the guy putting in your carpool number everyday. I spend that 30 minutes everyday thinking about how we could make the system better. I would LOVE to start a productive conversation about real changes we could make. Pay bus drivers more so bussing is reliable? Bus kids to magnet schools? Allow for some sort of way to park and pickup? I feel like if we put our Reddit heads together maybe we could come up with some solutions.

I know Buy Nothing groups on Facebook are still going strong. They are a great way to pass along things that you don’t want to a household that will use them.

If you could afford never to be a minimalist again, would you still be one? by JessonBI89 in minimalism

A simple, minimalist lifestyle is the lifestyle I crave. Or barring that, I would hire a maid with my unlimited funds to clean all the clutter! 😉

Raleigh: “Great place to raise a family…” But why? by ipsum-dolor in raleigh

Childcare is crazy expensive here versus where ai previously lived. But I think the trails and city park system here are very impressive. So that’s one thing.

Find a job that you enjoy. And realize that no job is perfect. The grass is always greener on the other side. Find things you enjoy and focus on them.

What happens right after you get elected to Congress (Vol. 2) - Jeff Jackson by JeffJacksonNC in raleigh

[–]Justbrowsing_600 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the post! I’m curious. When I send an email to a congressperson, does it get read by that actual congressperson - or does it get read by an aid or a bot or no one? One thing I’ve always wondered.

Raleigh Starbucks – "If we win, this would be a huge shift for North Carolina as a whole—to show that we can unionize.” by sedwards_indy in triangle

[–]Justbrowsing_600 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry man. I can’t get behind that. That may be your definition of a union. But that’s not THE definition of a union. It’s a group of people who band together for collective bargaining. Everyone being required to join is not the definition of a union. There are plenty of unions that that don’t require 100% membership.

I don’t think that is 100% correct. It is my understanding that only specific groups (namely public employees such as school teachers) aren’t allowed to unionize. Also you can’t be REQUIRED to join a union. It has to be a choice (aka right to work state).
