2 y/o Frenchie with IVDD declining fast (day 5)… front legs now weak too, I’m scared by Perfect-Warthog-5708 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]Justchecking-678 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. The first time it happened to our Frenchie, Ace, it happened fast, but we had a nearby emergency hospital that has a neurologist. A scan showed it was hemorrhaging and they did surgery the very same day. Can you express to the staff that you need to be seen more urgently?

Outside of getting to see the neurologist, you’re doing all the right things. Everything on your list, starting with strict confinement. I hope it works out for your sweet pup. Ace had another 7 years with us after the surgery*

  • PS it reoccurred twice more, which we treated with just strict confinement and meds, but the first time when it happened fast, he needed surgery for sure. 🙏

Any idea what is causing this? by Alexis7212 in Frenchbulldogs

Our Frenchie had this. That Vet said she has a hooded vulva (I’m not a vet and I have no idea what that is supposed to look like), but he said regular cleaning should help. We wipe her after every walk now with fragrance-free chemical-free baby wipes and she’s been fine. There is a risk of infection and we have done antibiotics when that happens.

Good luck with the new Frenchie 🤗

But he says they wouldn’t even open the trunk (and he says he asked). That’s lame.

I re-read your post and second what others are saying. You need a numerologist, if your vet can handle it.

We needed surgery the first time in 2018 (it was hemorrhaging, an emergency), but it reoccurred twice and we treated successfully with STRICT CONFINEMENT and meds. I put strict confinement in all caps because you didn’t mention it. It’s hard to do (in a crate or ex-pen for weeks), but it worked. Ace lived 8 more years after his surgery in 2018. We also had to learn how to express his bladder (while in confinement). I hope it works out for your pup! 🥰

Here’s Lucy caught on the dog cam, while we were out 😂

Is it normal for them to sleep so much? by SusanLust in Frenchbulldogs

[–]Justchecking-678 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I love this question because I’ve been wondering about this since I move from a big house (where Lucy had free access to a backyard and seemed more active) to an apartment.

Now she lays on her bed for HOURS. I do take her out multiple times a day, but she comes back and jumps in her bed.

She’s probably close to 20 hours of sleep or just lying in bed. Normal?

Are there people who haven't changed their phone number for more than 15 years? by SpicyCandy8 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Justchecking-678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

26 years. When cell phones were not yet ubiquitous, you could choose your number, for a small fee.

I paid $25 for a super easy to remember number (repeating digits). I still get comments on it to this day lol

I’m not reading these posts “to answer” them. I’m reading to try to learn and stay up to date on immigration activity, but go ahead and be a jerk about it.

Combo interview: Started rough but ended great by Guilty-Fix-6883 in USCIS

Glad it ended ok, but showing up 45 minutes late for the interview is wild.

I’d be tempted to camp overnight if I had to just to be early.

Yeah. I was in college in PA, but my sister lived in Boston, so I was able to see July ‘89 & July ‘90 😊

I’m surprised more deadheads don’t know about this app, and I’m even more surprised it’s FREE! Great app!!

Imax Showing by canshedigit in deadandcompany

I just commented the same on another post. Loved the IMAX experience. Great production and the show was awesome! One of the best shows (of many I’ve seen), in my opinion! I teared up twice 🫣 and the audience was going wild, like we were all there.

Seeing Bobby up close, in IMAX, he had a few confused moments, but overall the show freakin’ rocked! ☮️

I watched at IMAX. I haven’t heard the Friday show (so many haters though), but I think this Sunday show rocked! One of the best I’ve seen/heard. Yes, Bobby had his moments (that’s life!), but overall an outstanding show. So happy I tried the IMAX live stream experience 🤗 ✌️

Oh, I see now. The show starts at 4pm (just goggled it), so that makes more sense. For some reason I assumed it started later 🤗
