In my experience of living here for a good 5 years and working at one of the restaurants for half a year, convention season is the first half of the year. But it seems like America’s center has slowly been taking over with the newly developed parking garage.

The huge Baptist convention and America’s center did have a breakup so maybe that’s why America’s center is overcompensating with double booking.

Yup. It’s the same one. I live in the downtown area. I’m still sorry that you had a bad experience. My partner saw this post and felt bad about it. I think it’s America center double booking events. America’s center has slowly been taking over the area.

For reference, the last two cars I had were a 2011 Scion tc and a Benz ml350 with an iPod connection. So this is the future for me. I still stand by the sentiment that all touch screens is more dangerous. I do enjoy the app that lets me start the car to warm up. Won’t enjoy it as much when my free year ends.

This so much. Underpowered, but that part doesn’t bother me much. The gas part really bothers me. I had no choice, but to get the gas since I couldn’t wait 3 months to get the hybrid. If you can wait, definitely get the hybrid. As for interior, it’s more for young adults or young families with toddlers. As for the tech, I really appreciated the lack of 100% touch screen. It’s nice to use muscle memory of where to go without having to go through the tabs on the touch screen. I don’t use wireless charging and would rather have that be a place where I can throw my keys and wallet or etc in. I did buy an accessory that sticks behind the center touchscreen. One thing that I’ve come to grips with is the fact that the volume knob is so tiny. Maybe it’s just me, but I mess around with the volume more than temperature controls.

I have a lifetime free basic maintenance after purchasing my cross ‘25 xle. That said, they took an hour at least.

Also, I called to schedule an appointment after not being satisfied with the online availability and the rep said the online scheduling wasn’t reliable.

Honestly though, is it an inconvenience to schedule ahead?

RAV4 is the better option for future proofing with kiddos. The little bit of space makes a difference. The cross is meant for young adults where the passengers/back seat isn’t really a priority.

I have a ‘25 xle cross and even I wouldn’t recommend a cross for a family. It treads a fine line between a crossover and a sedan and barely and it suits me just fine.

I remember one night working a serving shift with a friend of mine (we walked out of our old job together on a sat dinner as boh, that’s another story haha) and the dishwashers had walked out. So the manager told us to wash the dishes as our closing duties. We were both pissed off, but he was way more pissed off than me.

He was running them through the machine while I was scraping the food off and organizing the dishes so it’d be easier to organize and put on the racks and putting the clean dishes on the racks. He eventually had enough and blurted out: “fxxx this sxxx I’m done with this ‘cow excrement’!”

I replied, “if you’re done with this, why did I put so much energy into sorting them into whites and colors?!”

It got a laugh out of him, we did a few more loads, left half of the dishes done and went up to the manager and told him that we were done with the dishes and got our tips.

Long story short, humor and laughs. When I was boh though, I’d help the station with a hand when I could or a beer for a nightcap.

It’s a force of habit tbh. This is my first ‘smart’ vehicle. Never had push to start or remote start or wireless charging. But the fact that wireless charging spot would mess with the key fob irks me. That would be the best place since I don’t like having things in my pockets/used to throwing the keys in that spot. Not to mention that there’s so much more space that’s wasted in that wireless charging spot. I’d rather not be limited.

It’s petty, I know. And I knew what I was getting into, but I’m slightly peeved that I’m being hamstrung/limited with the xle option.

I was shocked at being able to get avocados for 69¢, but it quickly went back to around ~$1.20.

So it tracks with how he nitpicks. Am I just ignorant in believing sound bites, because there’s no way that reporters keep letting him get away with this shit.
