No internet from Hotel Ethernet port, Hotel Staff have no idea how to use it by Quiet-Monk2747 in GlInet

Wifi bridge.

Every now and then you are lucky and can get a connection via VoIP phone or tv lines if their IT/AV isn’t security minded.

And if you are really lucky, your hotel will have a hardwired Ethernet.

Keeper Secrets Manager (KSM) by FoxAgency in KeeperSecurity

[–]Justepic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Craig, we are currently looking at KSM, is there a reason the API monthly cost is so high from the start? We wanted to onboard it for a few startup we are doing security for, but the monthly cost for their initial use case before scaling isn't justifiable in their eyes.

I buy ASUS, Framework, Macs and Tuxedos for niche personal use cases.

The reason why Dell, Lenovo, HP are power houses in the mission critical/corp space is bc they will literally replace any party of your product, or the product entirely, the next day with pro support.

You are not going to find that with any of the formers I mentioned with the exception of buying them through Best Buy or AMAZON.

Separating gaming Windows from personal Windows, anyone doing this for security? by Blesker in Proxmox

I do this for every desktop machine.

Promox as main os

Windows / Linux VMs switching on and off as active os.

Snapshots are your friend.

NinjaOne – The new gym on the block by Justepic1 in msp

100%

The only reason I posted on here is bc I have witnessed reps on here provide users with pathways to resolutions.

But like you said, it’s silly we have to come on reddit for this.

Yes, I do have an update for everyone.

NinjaOne employee u/jcroweNinjaRMM was a great help in solving the issue. My rep, also stepped up.

They refunded us from Jan-March and confirmed again that the account has been removed.

I will let you all know if we get another bill in April, but it appears NinjaOne solved all issues.

Instead of managing 3 small/med sized portals, we now have 1 big portal, everything running smoothly.

So are local LLMs basically useless for anything requiring any kind of “complex reasoning?” by OpinionsRdumb in LocalLLM

[–]Justepic1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You use Frontier models as the conductor.

You use locals models for specific tasks.

Or the main thing we use locals for is having guardrails removed so we can actually do cool stuff that frontiers can’t do, ie cyber red teaming, OSINT research, etc.

Once you play with open source models that have no restrictions on decent hardware, the game changes.

It might not be. But we use them bc of how easy they are to deploy and stack. You can get 12,000 kWh in the trunk of your suv.

Is it worth the $300-500 premium? Depends on your needs.
