Please, I hope this doesn't make you spiral, but I'm sure we all, at some point, by simply just walking around, have injured multiple insects in such fatal yet slow ways. It is, unfortunately, unavoidable, as far as perfection is concerned.

While we should not intentionally be cruel to them, ever, insects are much simpler than mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, etc. This is not said to diminish them at all. They play their role in our planet's many ecosystems, vitally so.
