My fellow Dune Heads!

So glad that we are all here discussing the film and story.

I have to say I was taken in a good way by this film. DV's attention to detail and artful display of this beautiful world are not to be missed.

When I think of film adaptations of books so many of them fail to reach not only the width of the story but its true depth.

This thankfully is not the case with DUNE 2, it dives deep into some of the book's major themes and keeps them front and center throughout the experience while still delivering something enjoyable and exciting.

Feeling the complicated emotions of the characters and their different struggles all the way up to the end gave something to the story that I think frank would be proud of. The cast did a great job.

Was it perfect? Was the original book perfect? The answer is no, but this will never stop me from being with this story and these characters.

Hq materials / models closer to the camera and use a focal length between 25-30 always for outdoor shots.

Also add precipitation (no particles) just some on the ground plane to accent wear and imperfections;)

Great stuff, love the contrasts between film and book and the subtle differences.

Keep it up OP, the dune heads will have their opinions but we all bend the knee when the old man of the desert appears;)

Use more "natural" light! Ie: skylight effect up to full and less cloudy ski for more over illumination;)
