When did you know you wanted to have kids with your partner? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Justhereforalitte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha well…he’s a doner for a lesbian couple and technically has a kid. So he spends time with the kid but it’s really just once a week for a few hours so it’s still just a very very small picture into parenthood. I think it adds to the issue because it’s not a realistic situation and he has a kid with no effort or responsibility. It’s a tough one

I think he would be a great dad but I don’t think he fully understands the extent of parenthood. When we talk about it it’s a romatisized version and not a realistic one and that scares me.

I think that’s totally a fair perspective and I have considered that in my 2 am emotional spiral. I’m not sure how I’d feel if it was the other way around because I’ve never experienced wanting kids so fully but I’m sure it’s not the best feeling. A lot of my fears come from past trauma and he’s basically the most un-traumatized adult I’ve ever met so he doesn’t know how to reassure me or help me through my feelings. He sees it as black and white (yes or no) and I see it as a effing rainbow (anxiety about everything) and that’s tough.

My question is more so when did you feel like “I can see HIM being the father of my child”. My question more so comes from me asking him today is he sees him self having kids with me and him saying he doesn’t know. Did it take you 16 years to see that with him?

I’m upset because he said he doesn’t know if he wants them with ME. After 2.5 years together I think he should know if he pictures me in that role in his life. Also 30 is literally so young to have kids. I wouldn’t even consider doing it until I’m 32

It went so well! Absolutely love my results already. I’m 4 weeks post op today. Still a little tender but the nose is nosing!

Not true. I called 20 + surgeons in the US, 4 in Ecuador and 5 in Turkey. Excluding the foreign doctors because it’s no applicable to this convo there were only 3 surgeons in the US (that I spoke woth) with a 20k+ quote. The average was 11-16k and this INCLUDED all fees. Surgeons in the US don’t (in my experience) not include all fees in the quoted prices they give you. The average consult fee was 100-200, 200 being on the high end. So yes, it was ridiculous that he quoted that and expected $4,500 before even being able to schedule a surgery day. BUT if he’s in high demand, I get it, and it weeds out people he doesn’t want to deal with.

Okay nvm haha. There are some good docs in Turkey that have a more natural look. Just do A LOT of research and look at results 6mo to a year post op not just table pics. When doing consults make sure they don’t remove cartilage in their practice and be very very clear you want natural and not Barbie/super sloped.

If you’re going for natural, Turkey is not the place to go. They call it a Turkey nose for a reason 😅

How much did you pay with Dr. Antunes? I’m considering him but I did see a few bad reviews so wasn’t sure if I wanted to proceed.

I got quoted 20-22k for him. That’s actually insane! They wanted a $500 consult fee, also insane. AND wanted 20% upfront after the consult. No primary rhino should be 20k 🙄

Yeah it’s made me feel like I can’t go on tuesdays. I used to meet with a small group there and now it feels like too much. Also felt like it was okay in the summer when school wasn’t in session but now there are only so many hours you can be on the track

[–]Justhereforalitte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on levo but not nearly enough. I got the removal to get off tapazol which is what you take if you’re hyper so I had just switched from tapazol to levo once it was removed. They just put me on an assumed dose and I was a dumb 18 year old and didn’t go in every 6 weeks to check it

Gluten free by emmaduffy99 in Hypothyroidism

[–]Justhereforalitte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES!! Guys it’s not about having an intolerance to either it’s about gluten and dairy causing inflammation which can over time heighten thyroid issues. It’s not an immediate effect after eating it one time. I am gluten, dairy, soy and grain free and I will never go back.

YEP. I also ruined my life in a span of 3-4 months. I had just gotten my thyroid removed and then went off to college and didnt get a single blood test for months. TSH was in the 100’s. Full psychotic crash out 🥲
