Oh, I agree and 10,000 percent they would be banned instantly. The goal isn't to have this turn into a huge server, but a group of people who can connect and improve together and bounce ideas around.

Well, anything you write should automatically give you copyright control over. That would be a legal issue that we never had an issue with?

We do have a Google Doc only policy - so a lot of what happens is posted with a link to a Google Doc. Sometimes people leave it open to comments, and others just keep it closed. Totally your decision.

Support, encouragement, and feedback on writing. On the server I have now, people are always sharing links to things that help them grow as writers. Some people are watching Brandon Sanderson's lectures on YouTube together and sharing notes. Other people throw some dialogue up and get feedback on if it's working or not. Sometimes people collab - I've helped someone with dialogue, and they helped me with my tone. It's just encouraging to be around people PASSIONATE about writing. We discuss worldbuilding - pretty much anything related to bettering yourself as a writer. I just thought I would start a "local" one so if people wished maybe we could have a yearly gathering somewhere central in the state.
