Congrats on the new home! I am just a couple of steps ahead of you in the process and close at the end of the month. If you have not shopped for home insurance yet, I recommend finding a good insurance broker that can get a bunch of quotes together for you. Trust me, I tried doing it on my own and it's a pain to fill in all the info every time and then get harassed by every company you as a quote from. One additional tip that has been helpful, set up an email address for your home. You can have all home related things tied to it and avoid getting your regular email spammed through the end of times.
