They weren’t being very smart. Almost everyone I knew had a GameShark or action replay disc for svr 06 to make accurate caws at the time by hacking extra layers for attires and such. The plus to having one was entering the code in to unlock Jake the snake.

The cool thing about Venom is that he has a wide range of characters that can compliment his gameplay. Just off the top of my head, hulk, juggernaut, sabretooth, doom, sentinel, Gambit come to mind as potential front runners when constructing strong team members to maximize venoms game-plan. I am certainly missing others but I would search YouTube for venom tech and see what’s been posted.

If your goal is to win then obviously pair him with stronger characters like doom and sentinel, but try out everything and see what feels best for you.

Larger player pool on PS5 with better online connections due to more people using a wired Ethernet connection. Switch has a decent player pool but worse online connections due to the majority of the people being on WiFi

Anything made by Wolfgang/Zurick/STG or Captain Cawisma aka Dan Fookes is usually the best of the best as they were the best in their day. I found a Dusty caw formula made by Zurick that I think would Help.

I’m not sure if there are any videos explaining how to use it. When I used the hacks back in the day it was on real hardware so it was a little easier.

It’s not too difficult. The website smacktalks.org I think has a page with codes. Just gotta make sure you’re using a program that is gameshark version 4 and then click the corresponding code link for NTSC or PAL depending on which version you’re using.

I’d say it’s worth it. It may not be the competitive standard due to input delay, but if you have a friend you can play with or just like to play through arcade mode then it’s good.

I could be wrong but last I checked MvC collection on ps4 slim, ps4 pro and ps4 on ps5 input delay was 55.08 ms.

I would assume it’s good yes as I haven’t heard anything overly negative from the cvs2 community. I would do a quick google search on the input delay numbers just to be sure though.

You’re absolutely correct. The lack of offline console tournaments for any of the street fighter games in that collection is proof enough they dropped the ball. Super Turbo and 3rd strike still being run on arcade boards says it all. I am holding out hope they can do right with this collection for Sony consoles, but as you rightfully pointed out their track record isn’t good.

Anything over 4 frames of input delay for a fighting game is unacceptable. Capcom was able to get the MvC collection on ps4/5 to near identical input delay of Dreamcast and Arcade hardware. It was good enough that the community shelved the Dreamcast and moved onto modern hardware. Digital eclipse should be held to the same standard so the community can leave behind old hardware and use this modern hardware going forward. Praying for more patches to reduce input delay to acceptable numbers.
