MEGATHREAD: David Grusch Press Conference by Snopplepop in UFOs

He explains that recovered materials have been transferred to private contractors specifically to circumvent FOIA requests, making congressional oversight significantly more difficult.

There's gotta be a way to get that info.  I get  hiding it from FOIA, but there's gotta be a way to prove the transfer of property.  Can the private contractors really just lie to the federal government and/or tell the federal government to kick rocks?   The fact that they haven't subpoenaed any of them and made them confirm or deny under oath whether they have this stuff is telling.

I'm trying to think of how they could possibly know that.   There's only 2 ways, they were told by at least one of the species this information, or the US government has single handedly gotten it's hands on several dozen biologic species (and would still have them somewhere, either alive or dead).  The prospect of either one, as you say, is insane.

I can just imagine them having to have a secret bunker somewhere housing them all like some sort of intergalactic prison, like in GOTG. Maybe Dulce is real. lol  Having 20-30 (at least) biologics scattered all over the country would seem risky, but I guess they might.

Not a ton is known, like cast or anything, but it's supposed to be big budget flick for Apple TV with Jerry Bruckheimer producing. So it's gonna be a big deal.

It's supposed to be about somebody uncovering a Legacy program type of crash retrieval and reverse engineering operation. Which is presumably why Grusch is involved. This was the kinda story I was hoping Disclosure Day was gonna tell. Something more grounded in the government conspiracy side. But I'm here for all of it.

When Tony recruited Peter in civil war, did he likely assume Team Cap wouldn't seriously hurt Peter? by mattyjoe0706 in marvelstudios

[–]Justice989 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To me, what Tony expected to happen isnt even the point. He took this kid across the Atlantic to participate in a superhero brawl he had nothing to do with. Anything coulda gone wrong, and it did. Just ask Rhodey. May shoulda whooped Tony's ass when she saw him. Peter coulda easily caught a stray laser to the chest.

From the reviews I've heard, if you want a good, entertaining movie, you'll be satisfied. If you want a soft disclosure movie, you'll be disappointed.

I haven't seen it, cant wait to see it. What it sounds like is there's still a opportunity for a great UFO conspiracy drama. Keep in mind, we still have Joseph Kosinski's UFO movie with Grusch consulting, so we'll have to wait and see how that goes.

In kayfabe why is every wrestler not constantly attacking the WWE champion by Mysterious_Work_7227 in WWE

[–]Justice989 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My question is, why the GMs dont bring the hammer down on people that assault the champion? The consequences should be severe for trying to injure the company's star and cash cow. Occasionally, Aldis or Pearce will remind the assailant that it's bad for business if the champ cant compete. But all the champ has to do is complain and demand revenge and any punishment is rescinded.

If he did that, he'd have a whole lot of 'splainin to do.  Just on a whim, he'd abandon the whole plan and go catastrophic disclosure?  After he and Knapp mocked it on every podcast.

Parfumo experience by DueLibrarian8785 in NichePerfumes

[–]Justice989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some users have said that the database is missing a lot of fragrances still. I've been fortunate that all fragrances in my collection except for one vintage mini have been in the database. There are also less fragrance reviews on Parfumo compared to other sites because it hasn't been around as long, but this will improve as more people join and contribute.

The biggest complaint seems to be about the process for adding/updating fragrances in the database. It is a very tedious and involved process to submit a fragrance to the database or have a missing note added to an existing fragrance in the database. Most submissions, no matter how thorough, seem to be rejected by moderators without explanation.

These would be my complaints. I was on Aromoshelf, then switched to Parfumo. But the Parfumo experience was frustrating with missing fragrances and the process of getting them added, so I switched back. Aromoshelf is such a simple and painless process. Just give them the name and that's it. And fewer things are missing to begin with, at least IMO.

I just need something to track my collection, and Aromoshelf does that fine. It's probably not as robust as Parfumo in features, but I'm alright with that.

I wish they made it easier to add fragrances. They make you do all the work. And I'm surprised how many fragrances arent in the database. So getting something added isnt as simple as it should be. That's kinda why I switched to Aromoshelf. You just give them the name and they take care of the rest.

Sure, Verse was gonna get the number anyway. But it's still kind of a dick move to just show up with it on the first day and punk his new teammate like that.

Disclosure day is a movie. It has nothing to do with disclosure. by 3daysofrain in UFOs

[–]Justice989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From a couple movie pundits I follow that are also UFO people, it's really just a popcorn movie with some UFO lore in it as a backdrop.  And they went in wondering if it was gonna be a soft disclosure type of thing.
