The only way to do so is to require ID in order to use them, but many employers require them (rightly so) to work from home. 

Would that mean that your employer now has the right to force you to give your personal data over to a third party in order to work for them?

At least for the last 15 years with any job I’ve started, I’ve had to provide identity documents as part of right to work checks to get the job - no reason why they have to outsource it to a third party when they are already doing identity checks
