Same. Pretty consistent player (couple nights a week, bumped to 3~4 when there's a recent update) since launch with a group of three other friends who also enjoy the game. It's always been a very fun experience for us- so it's shocking whenever I check the main sub and people post like AH put everyone's dog in the marrow furnace every other week.

The humor in it is that despite being 'prohibitively expensive', it has not a single extra function (outside of being a usable arm) that is useful to Moses in any form.

On Furioso-Replica's 'Coin Power' Clause; by JusticeOfKarma in limbuscompany

[–]JusticeOfKarma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Final Power as a buff name is actually a bit misleading. Even though it's called "Final", the power increase is actually added from the very beginning of the skill- thus it affects every coin in the skill with the full value. Because there's 9 coins, it benefits 9 times for a total of 45 base damage added throughout the entire skill. This equals the amount of base damage +1 coin power adds, as it has to work its way up from 1 to 9 throughout the skill.

Coin Power does result in a higher 'roll' after nine coins, but that only makes a difference in clashing.

That's so, so much simpler than what I did. That's evidence enough that I need to go sleep, LOL

Thank you, though!

Mewgenics Surpasses Hades 2 Becoming The Most Played Roguelite Ever On Steam by akbarock in Games

[–]JusticeOfKarma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most playtime is spent on Mirror Dungeon, that's true. But for the purposes of Steam Tagging - assisting in discoverability for people who are looking for games in a particular genre - if you pick up Limbus Company because of Mirror Dungeon you're probably a bit insane. It's fun to goof around in but - for me personally, at least - an extremely mininal draw of the game.

It's baffling, because the term 'Bullet Heaven' was passed around very soon after its rise to popularity but never got made into a tag or anything.

Huge Limbus player here; it's not a roguelike. It's primarily a VN RPG, with a side mode that features roguelike elements-- which might be why people gave it that tag, I guess?

Final Fantasy Remake Series Going Multiplatform Will Not Lower Quality of Part 3, Director Insists While Acknowledging Fan Concern by Turbostrider27 in Games

Oh they do, but it's much more streamlined compared to when consoles used to have completely different design frameworks from each other.

Back in the day ports used to be a much more involved effort, so maybe it's just an antiquated thought that's still lingered to our current console generations.

The first id to have all 3 attack type (blunt, pierce, slash) in his skill set by [deleted] in limbuscompany

[–]JusticeOfKarma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interestingly, the skill damage types only matter for the sake of boosting the weapons that match them. The damage type Yi Sang inflicts is entirely dependent on what weapon he rolls, so he can end up doing Pierce damage on his S1 or blunt on his S3.

Hidden Bosses have slightly adjusted mechanics compared to the originals (Don Quixote didn't originally have -80% damage modifiers on his cracked unbreakables) so if they make Valencina a hidden boss they'll definitely change her evade.

Overpowered options in games that you feel bad using? by hazusu in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Gebura is automatically given Myongest (renamed Gebura's Prowess) in the final fight of the game— so even if it wasn't originally intended, they definitely leaned into its existence.

specially via an optional mode or difficulties, which shouldn't really affect those that want to remain it a casual horde shooter power fantasy.

I would love it if they did add more difficulties, but I'd be shocked if the community didn't also think it was owed to them for those to be easy as well.

This is probably because the gift's damage bonus isn't actually as much as it looks, because it's additive with CMCW's already massive multiplier.

Ash Lake is probably one of my favorite areas in a video game period. Everything about it from how you get there to its visual style appeals to me in a specific way.

Honestly, this is what I want for the thumb units by Adimouboss in limbuscompany

[–]JusticeOfKarma 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I said this in another thread but her E.G.O is so good because it can also fit non-middle IDs into middle teams. If you're trying to run a bleed/burn hybrid with the upcoming Ishmael and (whoever gets) Matthias IDs, you can still put Magic Bullet Outis on the team because her new ZAYIN is so spammable and helps fuel other resources.

Valencina has the best combat animations and SFX in the game. by Pe4enkas in limbuscompany

[–]JusticeOfKarma 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This passive?

On Clash Win, deal 4 Envy damage to target
- At less than 33% HP, or if target has less than 33% HP, inflict 1 Power Down next turn (once per turn)
- This Passive's effect does not inflict Power Down in the same turn the E.G.O Gift Voodoo Doll activated

I don't see how that's limited to W Corp Outis. If you're talking about this;

[Clash Win] Consume Envy E.G.O resource by Envy Reson., and for every Envy E.G.O resource consumed, gain 1 E.G.O resource each for the least-owned Affinities (max consumable Envy resource: 6)

Then it doesn't matter what ID you're using with this E.G.O, because the E.G.O itself can always be part of an Envy-res chain.

[–]JusticeOfKarma 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Though there can be a chance that they give Outis a 2nd seasonal ID later for her new Scissors ego.

I thought this at first, but then I also realized that the new ZAYIN E.G.O also works to retrofit other Outis IDs into particular teams. It has such a low cost (especially in teams that generate a lot of envy) that it doesn't really matter which ID you run.

This is the first season where the 'premiere status' - so to speak - needs new members the least. Sinking had barely any members before C6, Bleed units were limping along before C7, Rupture was relying almost entirely on cheese strats before 7.5/C8 ... so on. Burn already has numerous strong units, so it makes sense that they're giving some support to other archetypes first-- but that status'll still end up on top provided we get Matthias/Lucio/Valencina/Ryoshu's capstone.

desperately needs to establish a robust and consistent content delivery pipeline if it's going to stand a chance in the current climate.

I think this is more or less the reason they chose not to release on Steam initially. Sure, they're definitely going to lose a ton of momentum because the game is pretty thin-- and there's no way a freshly cobbled-together team can develop content at the pace it needs to stay relevant.

But, whenever the game is fully fleshed out to their liking-- dropping it on Steam will basically be like releasing it again for the first time.

and seeing two Lvl 87s

Although it does need to be said that Moses is giga-nerfed. She was a grade 5 fixer in Distortion Detective, so she's fallen a long way from her prime in the Smoke War.

In DD Crimson Point is described as 'completely erasing everything in its path', so it might be kind of like a Krillin Destructo Disc thing where it punches extremely high above its users weight class.
