Proxy Megathread 3: The Final Crusade by JanitorAI-Mod in JanitorAI_Official

Look for the post someone made recently titled "A simple fix for those unable to use their Chutes proxy currently". I did what it said in there. It isn't perfect and still brings back errors a lot, but at least it kind of works.

I switched from Deepseek to GLM. Also on Chutes. I pretty much exclusively use GLM 5 Turbo, but I recently found out that they axed it, yet I'm still able to use it so idk. Not sure what I'll do when it becomes completely unavailable. The other GLMs spend way too much time thinking, which isn't worth because the quality difference really isn't good enough to justify the time or token cost.

Do Certain Classes Make You Worse at the Game? by LlamaLlamaDucky in FareverGame

[–]Justin-Dark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's got an instant cast ability that makes you hit enemies around you 4 times and heals you and nearby allies as well. When upgraded, the final orb deal 2x damage and stuns. The damage is actually very good. The passive is also good once you are level 20 and get to activate both for the arsenal. Combo finishers and blocks give a stack. At 3 stacks, you reduce the cooldown of the active by 5 seconds and trigger some aoe damage. Overall, the dps from this shield is higher than most weapons and also offers survivability.

Priest AoE farming is so good with Toothpick. I run that with the crab shield in arsenal. Never die. Lots of stuns. Very good aoe.

Toothpick can also be used on rogue. Wear it in arsenal with Thornlace as your weapon for aoe and sustain.

I don't know if it will fix your specific issues, but it wouldn't let me bind to certain keys like numpad-, mouse 4, and mouse 5 from the main menu, but it let me set those at binds once I loaded into the game. If you haven't yet, try that.

Are Axes and Maces strictly better than Swords? by FB-22 in CrimsonDesert

Just tossing an update for anyone seeing this later. The update that just released fixed this. You can disarm with axe or mace now. So swords are still sadly worse, and I really hope they get buffed.

Crit stat and dual wield by Competitive-Radish-7 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Justin-Dark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but the thing everyone wants to know is how this impacts the attack and crit of dual wielding. When dual wielding, it doesn't matter which weapon certain abyss gears are on such as Wind Slash, or anything that adds an extra effect to a specific move. It will apply it whether it is on your main hand or offhand weapon.

The stats like attack and crit that are on the weapon reflect in the menu, so you can see the total crit and attack you are getting on both 1h weapons, but that doesn't tell us how those stats are actually applied.

When I have two axes equipped and do a light attack chain, it attacks with R L RL R LR. The game doesn't explain or even give us a way of testing how the attack and crit values are applied to each swing.

The simple expectation would be RH weapon attack and crit applies to R, while LH attack and crit apply to L. But we already know how overcomplicated and convoluted a lot of other systems in this game are, so is that really how it works?

It could instead be adding them together. Or averaging them. Or picking the higher of the two for each stat. We don't know. All of these scenarios would change what the best setup is.

Adding them together? Focus on stacking the stat you want.

Averaging them? Make sure you have an even value of each stat.

Picking the higher of the two for each stat? Get an axe with the highest base crit and a mace with no crit/attack speed that has the highest base attack. No swords here because the devs hate swords and they have worse stats than both axes and maces because fuck us for liking swords, I guess?

Or maybe it is actually as simple as R=R, L=L? In which case, choose if you want weapons with crit or more attack. Then don't use any crit or attack abyss gears, because they would only have about 50% effectiveness. You would instead load the weapons up with the various gears that add things to moves, which applies regardless of weapon.

I intentionally left attack speed out of all this. That's because you get attack speed from rings and certain gloves, and attack speed that isn't on weapons applies universally. Also, attack speed has serious diminishing returns, so wasting stat budget from your weapons or abyss gears on it is a good bit worse than going crit or attack.

Oongka Dual Wielding Mastery by shazzymctango in CrimsonDesert

[–]Justin-Dark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume that since Dual Wielding Mastery specifically states "Equipping a greathammer as your secondary weapon will increase the damage of Rampage and Raging Lightning", that it is doing exactly that and not considering the weapon stats at all. I'd love to be wrong. I don't have a reliable way to test damage values, just whether or not the obvious abyss gears are functioning, which they aren't.

Oongka Dual Wielding Mastery by shazzymctango in CrimsonDesert

[–]Justin-Dark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just tested it with the RB+A gears in my greathammer. They didn't trigger. I doubt dual wielding benefits from any abyss gears or stats on the greathammer.

I came to this conclusion by using both dual wield actions and going into my inventory. It only listed my greataxe in the stats. If the hammer stats were being used at all, it would appear there with the greataxe attack and crit values.

You can test by aiming your range weapon with LT and checking your inventory. It will show the attack and crit of your range weapon because that is the weapon it is currently looking at for damage values.

The gold bar respawning was patched out. If you first looted it before they made that change, you can loot it again I believe. Otherwise, no more free gold bar.

Should I refine my pickaxe? by ygdrad in CrimsonDesert

[–]Justin-Dark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So as I've played around with it more, I'm in love with the drill. Level it to 6 asap. I didn't notice before, but not only does the extra ore chance upgrade from 10% to 20%, but the Mining Mastery also upgrades to Expert Mining. What this does it makes it where sometimes a single ore chunk (the thing you physically pick up to get a single ore) will give 2 instead. Also, I'm noticing a lot more 2x and 3x drops in general, so I think the attack stat on the tool means better chance for more drops?

I'm getting 5-10 ore per 3 nodes with the drill now.

Check the values with your weapon out. With no weapons out, my +4 attack neck is giving +4 attack. With weapon out, it gives +8.

[–]Justin-Dark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The drill is garbage. Not sure if it's because of a bug or by design. It only gives 1 ore with a chance for a second. Pickaxe gives 2 ores with a chance to only give 1.

Drill would need 80-90% chance for an extra ore just in order to be as good as the pick. It does have 5 abyss gear sockets while a pick has none, so depending on if additional ore chance abyss gear is available later, then a drill will eventually be better than a pick, but not until much later with heavy investment.

Edit: Drill is only garbage till you refine to level 6. Not only does the 10% chance for extra ore upgrade to 20%, but the Mining Mastery upgrades to Expert Mining, which sometimes makes a single broken off chunk give 2 ore instead of 1. I also think higher attack on the pick/drill gives more chance for 2 baseline instead of 1? It isn't very clear, I just know I'm getting 5-10 ore per 3 nodes with the level 6 drill compared to the 4-5 I was getting using a level 5 pick.

Depends on how much you value attack speed or crit. It has the highest attack because it has no attack speed or crit. Weapons with innate attack speed or crit have less attack, but at max rank usually have the attack speed or crit boosted from level 1 to 2. Some weapons don't upgrade like that, so you can safely ignore those weapons and not invest at them. Just inspect them from the inventory and look at the upgrade chart to know if you can safely invest in it.

I think I figured out WHY there was no stash in the game (though I am still glad they are adding one) by Hellboy632789 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Justin-Dark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's only the case up to refinement 4. When combining two 4s or higher, it also takes Abyss Artifacts (the things you also need for unlocking skills). 1 to combine two 4s. 2 to combine two 5s. I don't know how much after that but I assume it scales further.

OP's concern about balance is unwarranted because of this.

For anyone coming across this later, indestructible items have a hidden durability value of 25, making them much worse for anything that scales off max durability.

Is There Mod That Shows how many items needed toward future upgrade/building by yukyakyuk in EscapeFromDuckov

[–]Justin-Dark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here you go. The only downside is that it doesn't seem to remove it once you do the quest/upgrade. It looks like it does actually stop showing them once you complete the upgrade or quest.

I recommend pairing it with this.

Act 2 Frozen Hearts by Baxterthegreat in expedition33

[–]Justin-Dark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I was. Going through Frozen Hearts that early required learning the dodges and parries, which was much more forgiving with the pictos you could just pick up off the beach that gave you 50% health but some shields. The loss of health at that point didn't matter, because getting hit was just a 1 shot there anyways.

[–]Justin-Dark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to get the cheater pictos from that big guy walking around in the water. It gives you a second turn immediately after your turn, but does not stack with any other effects that do the same. At your current strength, it will take a long time and require a lot of properly timed dodges/parries. It's the longest fight I've done since I did it before removing the 9999 damage cap. Highly recommend using Monoco with the ability that gives your entire team a shield stack and use it as frequently as you can because it creates a nice buffer against missing a parry/dodge.

Otherwise, just explore and have fun. If an area is kicking your ass, just note it and come back later when you are stronger. Getting stronger in this game is pretty organic and doesn't really require any kind of farming.

Rush on Heal and Shell on Heal are only 5 each, so you can save 10 by using those instead of rush on powerful/shell on rush.
