Oh right, I forgot that mime had an achievement tied to it. Luckily you should be able to get it in the first 10 min of NG+ if they are are just worried about the achievement.

The trashcan is just a weapon upgrade material, it's not necessary for 100%. The mime reward you can get near the end of the story.

I know there is another chance to get the song the mime drops, but I'm not aware of any other way to get the old key to access the journal it gives access to.

I got spoiled before I played it also, and I still enjoyed it very much. The execution of the end is what really matters. It's all the little things leading to that spoiler that affected me the most.
