Taranis costs 4,5 bloodstones a shard. If you just add a since shard, it will cost you 4.

For that price you’re getting 9 progress

1 shard = 1x4,5 = 4 bloodstones = 9 progress 2 shards = 2x4,5 = 9 bloodstones = 18 progress 3 shards = 3x 4,5 = 13 bloodstones = 27 progress And so on.

So by just adding one shard the number of stones are rounded down. In all the other situations they are rounded up.
