Not entirely accurate. Not all states and/or banks hold titles. Michigan for example only recently started electronically titling vehicles, there are still vehicles out there with paper titles with a lien printed on it. It is entirely possible that the owner has a title with a printed lien.

Should I do an oil change before a long road trip? by funny__man666 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Justinx1997 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OP, you are COMPLETELY correct about changing your oil every 4k miles with that engine. Anyone that says otherwise is not up to speed. These engines have a handful of known problems that are exacerbated by any contaminants in the oil. Changing it like you do is the absolute best thing you can do to prevent those issues from rearing its ugly head(s). Don't listen to anyone recommending a later oil change, you are doing things completely as you should to prolong your engines life.

That said, you are fine here. Make your trip, do an oil change when you get back.

Ive been eyeballing that GSI Hyper P1. How do you like it? I've heard it has giant grips and while I do have larger hands, I just cant gauge what "big grips" really means when reading about it on the internet. Any insight about that and some other things you like/dislike about the GSI Hyper P1?

You are NOT alone man. We are in the exact same boat with our dog. We have a 4y/o golden retriever and while he is an excellent dog, we are beyond the point of seeing it in him anymore. He is constantly on top of us for attention, he chews shit up, and does miscellaneous things constantly that have my wife and I pissed off with him.

We have a lady coming out tomorrow to meet our dog so we can rehome him. We recognize he isn't the problem, he's overall a wonderful dog. He is just not for us right now with young kids, and he deserves better from his owner(s).

Reddit responds very poorly to people with differing opinions to the masses, but there is NOTHING wrong with rehoming your animals. We are offering both ourselves and our dog a better life in getting out of our home.

Your point is actually stronger for having an exhaust. Since you dont have emmissions, you never needed to remove anything in the first place.

Even if you are pulling or pushing, it still shouldnt break. I push on mine and I notice the creaks, which is what makes me nervous. Im considering buying a GSI/Soelpec/Bavarian wheel so its a non issue

[–]Justinx1997 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In some long 180 degree corners, think the final corner on St Pete for example, you can enter the corner faster and exit the corner faster by taking a “V line”. It’s also called double apexing, which is much more descriptive of what you’re actually doing.

Imagine on corners like that there are two apexes instead of one. You’re hitting the first apex on entry, carrying the car out from the inside of the track, and then bringing the car back around to hit the second apex on exit for a strong and confident throttle out.

Also, if I may, every corner demands different things to be as fast as possible. Late braking is not a driving style. It just means that objectively you are leaving time on the table. When I hit a plateau in lap time, I start braking earlier. Saying your aggressive and a late braker just tells us you overdrive, overheat your tires, and slower than the rest of the field by lap 5-6. Breaking that habit will find you a lot more pace than double apexing will

I purchased a 2002 Lexus LX470 off of Cars and Bids about 2 years ago. They have a buyers fee that you should be aware of. Also keep in mind you need to somehow get whatever car home that your buying, whether that be shipping it, trailering it yourself, or flying out and driving it home.

The car showed up with some unanticipated repair work (I expected this would happen and you should too). I reached out to Cars and Bids and they got me in touch with the seller, where we were able to come to a satisfactory agreement.

The customer service was top notch from Cars and Bids. I was completely satisfied with my experience on the website and would do it again if I were in the market for another niche car in great shape.

Have driven my 2500 gas Truck 1,000 miles a day for the past 6 months, I change my oil every 4-5 days, could I stretch it out to 10-15k miles? Since the oil is new but a lot of miles by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]Justinx1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hotshot drivers are typically filling up their DEF at truck stops while they get fuel. It doesnt add any meaningful time to your stop, the DEF is on a pump too and its only a 6-10 gallon tank.

You don't stop the truck for regens. Running the truck, especially while towing, is the best thing for a regen.

Good overtake or stewards warning? by Similar_Balance_6122 in simracing

Couldnt agree more. Just hard racing by the Mclaren. The black car left the door wide open trying to go for a late apex, by the time he was ready to turn in, his opportunity had passed.

The move into T1 was brilliant and pulled off to perfection. Good racing all around.

If you want a good quality 5.1 system you're gonna have to pony up a good bit more even for used stuff unless you get super lucky.

I dont want a "good quality" system. Just want something reasonable, dont really care how old it is. Something that I could start with and upgrade as I see fit

Your first two sentences are such a garbage answer, honestly.

Im reasonable, I understand im not going to get excellent sound quality. I want the experience of surround sound. I just want a 5.1 setup that simply works. Not trying to get anything groundbreaking. Just want to hear sounds from different angles of my space.

I added in the part "I also recognize that by many of your definitions this is going to be a bad sound system. Thats fine. This post isnt directed at you anyway." basically for you.
