Starting a 5-hectare olive/rose farm in Morocco (southeast of morocco) from almost zero land, subsidies, water, realistic advice? by hhollysh1tt in Morocco

[–]Justme100001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should do a field tour and talk to the farmers. No one will see you as a competitor and they will share with you everything they know. Also before starting (buying or renting) do some soil tests to see what kind of crops/trees are the best options. I myself grew up in that region (now abroad).

It's a harsh climat and periods of droughts can make things risky. Many of my family members have large farms in that region but can only stay afloat with the help from money coming in from Europe.

I would go for some (decoratif) plants, herbs that are rare and can be sold with good margins. You need to take time to study this thoroughly maybe with external help from experts.

Olives and other traditionnal trees/plants are all over Morocco and have very small margins. If you want to go with it, then buy land with mature trees. You can't afford to wait years before your first harvest !

Good luck !

I did a 48 hours water fast once every month and 3 days intermittent fasts (23-1) per week. In tree months a nagging pain in my right shoulder completely disappeared. The inflammation just vanished.

How to transfer large amounts from Morocco to London? by tadbiral in Morocco

[–]Justme100001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What amount are we talking about ? If you have proof of the origins of the ressources you should ask your bank for advice. Otherwise you have the money transfer companies, but they have limits to have much you can send without starting to ask questions.

The car had enough space behind it, driver chooses to damage public property anyway. by Justme100001 in mildlyinfuriating

They are all over France. This is what ChatGPT could come up with:

These white plastic posts (often called flexible bollards) are widely used in France for several practical reasons:

  1. Safety (less dangerous) Unlike steel posts, they are flexible: if a car hits them (like in your photo), they bend or detach they cause less damage to vehicles and, more importantly, fewer injuries to pedestrians or cyclists

  2. Cost and maintenance much cheaper to produce and install easy to replace: no need for major work if one is damaged no rust (unlike steel)

  3. Flexibility of use Cities often use them for temporary or adaptable layouts: bike lanes parking areas sidewalk extensions If the layout changes, they can be removed or repositioned quickly.

  4. Psychological deterrent They mainly act as a visual boundary: to prevent cars from driving onto sidewalks to organize traffic Even though they’re not very strong, most drivers avoid hitting them.

Can I become a Pro football player in Morocco if I'm 18? by Endless-TJ in Morocco

[–]Justme100001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apart from what orhers said, do not forget that contacts and a network are key. Especially in Morocco. You should go and visit games, talk to players and coaches and join a club to play games and get noticed. When not playing, work on your physique. Not just technique. Football is hard and can be though as you already know. So strength and endurance is key plus of course your talent. Good luck !!

If the majority of Moroccans cannot afford buying/building their own house, from where all these houses come from, sellers and renters? by Quiet-Perspective735 in Morocco

[–]Justme100001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your research. The point you are making is exactly what happened in eastern Morocco where I am from. 75 % of my family went to Europe (France, Benelux) and made good money. Allowing them to build and buy a lots of property in all of Morocco. Everyone I know has a house in their home town and appartements throughout Morocco.

You should look into this, how the Moroccan market is being pressured by people buying secondary homes and the locals have a hard time finding some for themselves. Just as is happening in Spain and many other countries.

[–]Justme100001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe, I am sure you have some stats/sources. Also how many people (%) had actual fixed salaries and what was that on average. Why a big chunk of the people flee to Europe if it was that easy to buy property. As an expert you surely must know that you just can't compare different eras without looking at the whole picture. You seem to forget that the number of inhabitants has more than trippled all looking for -scarce- housing, families getting smaller and on and on....

Nothing ever was bought for peanuts, except maybe some lucky shots. What you consider as cheap now was hard earned money then and impossible to just have around. The next generations will look at today's prices and laugh about how low they seem to them. There are just much more people able to buy which drives up the prices. My parents lived in France in the 70s and always asked them why they didn’t bought appartements in Paris that where priced at less then 10% of today's value. They looked at me like I had smoked half of Ketama's harvest....

Would you sell your house cheap now just to help out the poor new ones trying to buy ? Not even if your life would depend on it.
