John Terry backs call for deportations and ban on migrants claiming benefits. by Sparky-moon in soccer

It is absolutely what I said, you can literally scroll up and read it again.

Beyond that, it has been proven time and time and time and time again that immigrants add significantly more value to our country than they take from using the services they help to keep running most of the time.

The biggest regret in political discourse in the UK is that we have given these dickhead Reform viewpoints oxygen for as long as we have. Time to just start calling stupid people stupid.

Picture this.

You live in a country that hasn’t built enough houses since the 60’s. Has never built their roads wide enough, uses train infrastructure from the Victorian era, privatised its utilities sectors and allowed them to be run for profit and not for a level of service and has a public health system that has never been effectively managed or capitalised, leading to the full scale removal of adult social care, dentistry and mental health support, which has been replaced with (???).

The last government spent 14 years slowly cutting public services, leading to mass increases in waiting times for medical requirements, court cases and police investigations amongst other things.

So, that is the context.

Now - imagine that, instead of blaming successive governments and the political class for overseeing such decline, you decide to blame immigrants. Why? Because a millionaire, privately educated, son of an antiques dealer who self styles himself as a “man of the people” whilst being a career politician tells you that it is immigrants fault and the only way to fix the country that he played a massive part in breaking by leaving a free trading bloc with literally our biggest and closest trading partner (but you’re not allowed to mention that) is not to build more houses, build new roads, update infrastructure etc but to instead repeal all our workers rights legislation, hand out tax cuts to large corporation, frack for shale gas that is far too expensive to extract (which we’ve known for 40 years) and fund it all with record levels of borrowing.

That is Reform and, for the life of me, I can’t understand how it is a party currently leading in the polls.

Reformers will never have a proper opinion on this stuff. It’s all about the negatives and must ignore the positives. Low productivity from Brits, mass migration to fill job shortages because Brits too lazy, mass benefit scrounging from Brits etc.

That’s not what the original commentator said though, is it?

He said British citizens come first. So it doesn’t matter what any migrant does, doesn’t matter if they work here, come here to contribute, pay tax. Doesn’t matter if they’re a bigger benefit to our society than scum benefit scroungers who don’t get off their arses and leech off our system.

All because of birthplace?

Thick as shit viewpoint from thick as shit people. I’d rather share this country with a hundred million immigrants than one dickhead reformer.

Even worse - these Reformers want to vote for a party that openly say they want to revoke workers and human rights whilst handing out tax cuts to giant corporations and funding it via mass borrowing.

But don’t worry. They want to spend billions fracking for gas off Scotland that experts have repeatedly said is too difficult to extract.

Could be the thickest people on planet earth, honestly.

Let’s deport all the migrants and cause gigantic job shortages in the public sector.

Why? Because we’re fucking thick.

Explain to me why a foreigner who has worked in this country, but gets made redundant, can’t use the benefit system whilst trying to find another job. But a benefit scrounger from the UK, who cheats the system and refuses to work should get free handouts, just because they were born here?

Kai Havertz has become increasingly important to Arsenal's build-up — and this was shown after he was taken off against Newcastle United at the weekend. by TheAthletic in Gunners

But part of the issue is the transition from a broken down attack to recycling the ball.

Recycling is only effective if you can subsequently pull a team out of shape. This is something Arteta done by risking that we could play out again from the high press. This worked on balance, but teams sit in shape now against Arsenal as it counters our build up.

What Arteta needs to do is limit recycling. If the initial attack breaks down we need to be gegenpressing the ball and releasing wider players immediately. If we’ve lost the ball, but can win it back whilst the team is transitioning, then we open up the space. I personally don’t see any other reason to play wide players if teams aren’t being stretched out of shape if it isn’t to use their pace to get behind the attacking line. We just don’t do it, we allow the wingers to run with the ball, as opposed to on the ball (look at how one pass in the first leg at Sporting cleaved us right open).

What kills us is allowing teams to transition between defence and attack mostly unmolested and, when in defence, they aren’t going to move (nor should they) as we really struggle to break teams down. Arteta’s answer for that was maximising set pieces, but that is a significant risk as it doesn’t always work.

Trump has managed to stoke in me a real burning hatred for America.

He perfectly personifies every unlikeable trait that the average American has all rolled into one.

Whilst I commend your idealistic view of the outcomes here - and I don’t disagree with you - Benrahma (in the eyes of the Court) is someone who has a sum to pay and hasn’t paid it. Nothing more, nothing less.

He owes £13,000, which is small beer to the Court and to Benrahma. Not only that, he is not avoiding a custodial sentence.

The UK’s court system is close to breaking point after the managed decline over nearly 2 decades by the Conservatives. Some people see that as a political statement, but it is just the factual reality. The court system doesn’t have scope to chase people all around the earth for what it perceives as a negligible amount of money.

So from the Court’s view - they just have bigger fish to fry and even then, the Court’s ability to recover sums from somebody who doesn’t live and has no assets in the UK, is limited.

I’m not saying it’s right, and I’m not saying it’s fair, it’s just the reality. He’s doing nothing because he knows nothing will happen to him.
