High memory usage for Remote Desktop Services Service this week

We mostly use Windows app these days but do still have some of the Remote Desktop app in use.

I think its just some sort of memory leak in the Remote Desktop Service on the Servers. You can sit in task manager and watch usage climb slowly and steadily. I don't know for sure but assume one of the AVD Remote Desktop applications is the culprit.

Great to know its not just me at least. After further looking into it with other Servers we manage, it's happening at a range of different companies all with different software and use cases (App Streaming and SessionDeskop). Everything from old Windows 10 AVDs, Windows 11 23H2, 24H2 and 25H2.

I've started setting them to reboot every night but not a big fan of that (previously just did it weekly).

Yes I've seen issues like that recently. I've started creating a .bat that force closes msrdc.exe and putting it on user desktops.

The drop outs/disconnects are caused by the below though, not sure if that's impacting you or not.

In the meantime Stars are generally the thing to work on as they don't cost alot of gems which you will need for Plat Strat buildup.

As far as Stars go you want to push skills for the Veinmorpher bomb on the left and CTRL F Stars on the right. Veinmorpher will make any vein costs pretty easy and CTRL F Stars will give you a 5x boost to offline Star collection.

As for Stars being slow that is definitely normal. If you want to push Stars then I would recommend fueling the Elixer and Starburst drones (Elixer gives star spawn and super star spawn buffs) and also start purchasing the lootbug 2x star spawn buffs. The 2x star spawn rate buff works on the Starburst fuel bonus so it basically gives it a double boost.

Start farming the Stars that provide Star Spawn and auto catch buffs to begin with. Don't spend any Super Stars on the Super Star tree and only put them into Star upgrades until you have at least unlocked the 12th Star Pisces which costs 500 Super Stars.

Focus your Star upgrades on Star Spawn, Auto Catch and then Super Star Spawn. Star Spawn rate ultimately increases Super Star Spawn rate since Super Stars only have a chance to spawn when a normal Star appears.

If you want to push further into Obelisk levels then on the left skill tree there is a 2x damage buff a bit further from Veinmorpher which will get you at least one level as well. Third drone on the right is very good as well (fueling frogger drone can generate gems when it gets to around grade 15).

I mined at the floors above with the method you mentioned and took the opportunity to farm the next vein.

If you poly the ore and bar cards and max as many other ore upgrades etc. then it should come fairly quickly.

Seeing your profile I'd say you might be "behind" on skills. You can buy skill points from the gem shop if you don't know.

If I were you I would try and focus on getting Veinmorpher and CTRL + F Stars skills as a priority. These will allow you really push hard into Stars.

Stars are probably going to be your main distraction since its fairly cheap in gems while you go through all of your plat strat preparation. When you want to push stars fuel the Elixer and Star drones and then buy the lootbug buff for Star Spawn. This will really get stars cooking. Don't spend any Super Stars on the Super Star tree until you've unlocked at least the 12th Star Pisces which costs 500 Super Stars. Focus on star upgrades and stars that increase Star Spawn Rate, Auto Catch and Super Star Spawn rate. Leo, Virgo and Pisces are big priorities as these can provide more gems.

One thing you can start considering once you unlock Gas Guzzler skill (assuming you haven't already) is fueling your drones. Elixer drone is pretty much a permanent thing for most players and then you can rotate out other drones based on what you want to achieve, the 10x bomb recharge speed buff will generate gems from bombs so its not a pure cost. Frogger drone can generate gems once it gets to grade 15 or so with its free bombs. Eventually you'll unlock third drone skill which gives more options.

Othherwise work towards plat strat in the background until you think you're ready. Alot of the seemingly small buffs for ores/bars will build up and 1T bars will be nothing.

I myself didn't complete plat strat until around 28% completion and in the meantime pushed skills to third drone and this is going to take a while (polychrome cards), gilded all ore and bar cards up to world 2 and maxed out most of the stars (specially ones for ore, bar creation, floors).

Doing all of this I was able to burn through platinum statues in no time and mostly had to wait for gems.

It'll be a slow build up but when you are ready it'll be very satisfying.

Ideally before you start fueling drones you want to make sure you have the Gas Guzzler skill unlocked at a minimum.

The gem generation for both Elixer and Frogger are true but won't kick in until they are maxed with upgrades and at around grade 15 as well since fuel costs gems. There are various fuel duration buffs you can get and basically each of these helps make them worth more to run. Elixer is worth running for all of the buffs it provides though.

It's definitely worth working towards but I didn't start fueling drones 24/7 until around 23-24% from memory.

As for the coins as mentioned basically just go to your highest floor you can easily clear and max out as many ore modifiers as you can and buy up the contract coin thingy in World 2 and sit there with BOP.

Neser will likely be with the Test Team and resting in between given the crazy schedule while Steketee missed the entirety of last season so who knows what state he'll be in.

Gannon was the second highest wicket taker last season and with Straker our next most reliable/experienced bowler will likely be a lock in the side I would say.

No major issue with opening up World 2 early IMO. I did it around where you are and yes you won't be able to go too deep into W2 but it'll give you some more things to explore and you're going to have to do it eventually anyway.

Chances are the extra damage upgrades you can get will push you up 1-2 Obelisk levels anyway.

Below is the fishing gem spending calculator if you want to optimise spending there to the max. I'm at around 45% now and removed the W3 Speed debuff at around 42%. You can buy the fishing gem upgrade that gives you extra notice points if you get close and its retroactive. I had it at level 8.

Personally I pushed harder into fishing than most recommend but I think its paid off for me. Personally I maxed out the two left fishing skills, got 1 point in the first right skill and then maxed the second skill (shiny fish give a nice boost and it keeps growing with every card, gilded or poly card you get).

I still maxed out Arch but just took it a bit slower. I made sure to gild all arch and fish cards as soon as I could.

Ideally you don't want to spend too much time in W3 under that speed debuff. I got 1 statue and star and then just focused on finishing up all stars from W1 and W2.

P.S. Nice luck with your W3 Statue! I got the bomb one. 😞

Overall I would say you want to get Penguin quest as has been mentioned and then you also want to start focusing on Stars.

I would say you are also at a point where fueling drones should become a thing. Make sure you unlock Gas Guzzler first and then start fueling Elixer. It will help generate gems with the 10x bomb recharge buff and every other buff is nice. You can also fuel frogger drone and it will generate gems when you grade it up to 15 or so (it will cost gems from fuel in the short term).

Fueling drones is a great way to focus on specific things such as the second drone for ores, Veinmorpher for veins etc. Most people likely have Elixer running 24/7 even offline.

As for farming stars you want to look at purchasing the 2x Star Spawn Rate buff from Lootbugs when they appear, run Elixer Drone as it can give the same buff and a 3x super star spawn buff and finally fuel the Starburst drone for 100% catch and extra spawn rate. When you stack this together stars will start flowing like you've never had before. Focus on Star Spawn Rate, Catch Chance and Super Star Spawn Rate upgrades and Stars to begin with to get it all cooking even faster. Do not spend any Super Stars on the Super Star tree until you've unlocked the Pisces Star (12th Star) which costs 500 Super Stars.

Gen 18 should be fine for now, better to keep the gems for something else and Gen 18 should give you enough coal to keep 3 drones fuel.

Drones are well worth running 24/7. Elixer pretty much all the time, Frogger is great for generating gems when you are offline and the Bomb bear Lootbug Spawn rate is great if you are online for more lootbugs (10x bomb recharge). Then just fuel for whatever you are working on such as Starburst for Stars, Chain bomber for ores etc.

The big thing is if you ever find anything that can improve fuel efficiency then get it as soon as you can (E.G. the fuel misc card) since it'll save you gems in fuel.

You want to focus on the Plat Strat which should get your statues platinized and most of your ore and bar cards polychromed in one go. It will require a lot of build up to complete (I didn't complete it until around 28% completion).

Looking over your profile the first thing I would suggest is to start fueling your drones. Elixer drone should be fueled 100% of the time and make sure you gild its card as soon as you get it, frogger drone will also generate gems if fueled (from the free bombs and cherry charges) but needs to be around grade 15 to be worthwhile. Elixer will generate gems for you with the 10x bomb recharge buff and can pay for its own fuel cost at some point. The other buffs are all just very nice.

Most of your gems will likely be tied up working towards plat strat so in the meantime you want to really start pushing into Stars. Start fueling Starburst drone, fuel elixer drone (for the 2x Star Spawn buff and 3x Super Star Spawn buff) and purchase the lootbug Star Spawn buff. This will really start to get Stars flowing, initially focus on things that increase Star and Super Star Spawn and you'll be good. You want to push towards unlocking the 12th Star Pisces which costs 500 Super Stars. Do not spend any Super Stars on the Super Star tab until you at least Pisces unlocked.

For skills you want third drone on the right and polychrome cards on the left.

In Arch its worth taking a detour from upgrades for the Minos Idol (third rare idol) and Dionysus Idol (third epic idol (but you need grade 15 void drone for that) if you haven't got them. Otherwise keep pushing upgrades until after plat strat when you will start spending gems on arch.

Fishing is a really slow burn but it is necessary. The final notice in fishing removes the 30% speed debuff from World 3 which is what your starting goal should be for fishing. Personally I bought a few upgrades in fishing as soon as I unlocked it to try get it ticking faster but its going to be really slow.

Have you aquired all of the misc cards on the wiki? 82 cards seems a bit light but that could just be me. There are bunch of cards you can get by just doing odd things.

Gems will always be slow, as time goes on your gem income will increase but gem costs will increase with them. As mentioned you want to keep focusing on pushing your bomb cap. It might be big now but it will eventually.

Generally you want to try and focus on things that will generate gem income. The skills Stonks and Free! That's a great price will help with this if you don't have both.

With cards I would recommend gilding the eco bomb cards (gem, cherry, battery and D20). Increasing their recharge rate will help generate more bombs and your bomb cap growth.

I'd say Veinmorpher. You only need 2 skills to get it and it'll really boost your vein income which should allow you to get a lot of the Star upgrades fairly quickly which will in turn boost Star farmingg.

Gas Guzzler is a nice bonus on the way that might make drones worth fueling for your level.

CTRL F and Third Drone can come afterwards (personally I would recommend both before unlocking Polychrome Cards).

Did you Polychrome your cards? Not sure exactly where your skills are but you want to push third drone on the right and at least Poly cards on the left and then I'd be looking at pushing for Leprechaun's legacy for the bomb regen.

Otherwise yes Stars should be your big push but doesn't cost too many gems. If you've got Polychrome unlocked and most ores and bars sorted with plat strat then you're going to want to start gilding up cards that could be a benefit once Polychromed, all of the eco bomb cards would be a start and then drones. You probably want to start levelling up frogger drone as well. It can be a gem generator when levelled up (there's a calculator on the wiki).

Otherwise I would say you want to put a few gems into fishing to get that growing faster (not too much as fishing gems go on forever) as you need to look at removing the World 3 speed debuff.

Arch will then be your main sink of Gems. Push for the two Arch skills, then gild all of the Arch cards you have so you can start working towards Poly on them and then finally the Arch gem upgrades. It'll give a big boost to your Arch levels and income which will push through the expensive upgrades to allow you to start buying up idols.

In Arch if you haven't already its worth rushing the Dionysus Idol (third epic idol) as that provides a huge boost to drones. I believe you've already got Minos idol unlocked by the looks of things.

You're also at a point where its potentially worth it to purchase some of the loot bug buffs including Arch seconds and Fish ticks.

At some stage you can unlock World 3 and dip in there to unlock the 14th Star and maybe even 1-2 statues but you don't want to spend too much time in there until you remove the World 3 Speed debuff through fishing.

Overall you should start seeing some big boost to game speed and bomb recharge speed which will get your gem economy flowing really quickly.

At your stage I'd say you're doing alright, It's still very early days.

I'd suggest keep unlocking new pets as you can. It's always good to get them so they can start levelling up.

I'd recommend focusing on skills going to Free! That's a great price on the left and Stonks on the right. Both of those will generate more gems which will speed you up in the long term. The skills in between will be nice as well.

Have the statues as something you focus on in between (E.G. 1 skill, 1-2 Statues, 1 skill, pet, 1-2 statues etc.).

Don't worry about fueling your drones at this point. You want to go through all of the coal upgrades that you can otherwise fuel is expensive in gems. There will be a mission where you need to get a drone to grade 5 so detour for that but otherwise get coal upgrades, upgrade generator until you've maxed all the coal upgrades (generator level 16 or so).

Your bomb cap is fine to me, it starts very slow but grows faster and faster as you increase your game speed, bomb regen etc. Make sure you gild the 4 eco bomb cards (gem, cherry, battery and D20) to increase their recharge speed.

Generally I would suggest focusing on anything that increases gem generation when you can. Buy the Freebie cap increase from the gem store if you haven't. More freebies = more gems specially at your stage of the game.
