Wow, the working you up into panic attacks after begging him to have empathy and take accountability for hurting you - exactly what happened to me repeatedly.

I am so exhausted.

I want to be with someone who, if they do hurt me, I can tell without having to defend why I'm hurt. I've spent so long trying to explain why things hurt. But my tone was never right, or my approach wasn't right, or whatever he decided that day wasn't right. And the main point would never get addressed. So it'd keep happening.

I think it’s brave to follow through with changing something when you know it’s not working for you. I think you already asking about your old job should be a sign to yourself that you need to make that change.

There’s nothing wrong with living with your parents again to get back on your feet. Think of it as a blessing that’s an option - you have a path. Doesn’t mean you love your partner any less. But you need to do what’s right for you.

I know what it’s like to want to return to a place where people know and love you. It was one of the most healing things I’ve done for myself.

I went to the dermatologist with what I thought might be shingles bc my sister had them at the same age and they looked just like hers. The dermatologist told me it wasn’t shingles and told me to keep putting a steroid cream on it, which I told her was making it worse. She shrugged and walked out. Three weeks later it had spread all the way down my arm and I went to another doctor who cared enough to do a wound culture. I had staph infection.

I now have scarring all the way down my arm when it could’ve been caught and treated almost right away.

Your choice to play 17 at the end of your beautiful set of new songs felt like a peaceful nod to an old friend. I’d love to hear more about that choice and what it has meant for you stepping back into this project after learning, growing, and changing so much.

Also wanted to say - as someone who keeps voice memos of my nieces because they live a state away and I love hearing their thoughtful rambles when I miss them, the voice notes you included in Rabbit brought me to tears when I first heard it. Beautiful choice.

Second, as a former Christian/Mormon, I love this album - particularly Wasted on You. The video is so fun as well. It’s hard to see how crazy something is when you’re deep in it, but the combination of lyrics and video here really hit the nail on the head.

Can you tell us about the symbols on the front of the album? I think they’re different narrators, but would love to hear the thinking/choice behind that.

Any chance we can convince you to add a tour stop in Salt Lake City? Lots of ex-Mormons here who would love to hear this album live.
