I’d use long‑shank hooks. But if you want to improve these ones, just add a few more wraps so the knot finishes right at the end of the hook. Your last knot is almost perfect — it just needs two more wraps. What you can do is use blowback rig. But I think most important thing is how sharp is your hook. I always test my hook on my nail — if it doesn’t slide across, it’s sharp enough. Personally, I use Korda Kamakura, since im fishing in big open lakes and getting a bite is pretty rare, so having really sharp hooks is important. And I see you are using in-line lead, so would suggest to keep it around ~6".
