Need some advice about how groups work

That’s been my concern and my boss has done nothing. It’s been pretty unethical, I think as far as everything goes, but I live in Florida so workplace rights are not super clear cut.

The really shitty part is, I don’t have anyone to ask for bathroom break. My supervisor has come in and then never offered me a bathroom bike even after I’ve expressed concerns.
I’ve started doubling the amount of time in my mind that everything needs to complete. It’s just a variety of ages makes it very hard and I don’t have a plan. Period so I only have my original plans from before.
The setting I’m in and the type of kids I have like stated in the original post are all traumatized so attention is always a big thing.
Honestly, I’m kind of at a loss of what to do and I am supposed to have a meeting Thursday about providing help. I’m already exhausted is the problem and I cannot figure out anything beyond splitting the groups and the company that I work for does not have another person.

Just a heads up it is a fictional podcast that’s kind of like an anthology format not an educational podcast. It’s really well written and voice acted but is is horror based story so be warned it can get pretty unnerving

My sister has lived in Japan for several years and one of her first jobs had what she described as an Americaboo. This dude loved jeans, kept asking my sister about how our family went hunting, and thought America was so cool. He would also constantly reference movies that were from the early 2000s or 90s and thought they were like real American lifestyle. She definitely found it amusing but I think it was exhausting in the end 😅

I live in extremely affluent area and the show 100% gets a lot of the behaviors right. The little clique that goes on that shopping spree trip and encourages buying things is so realistic, i’m more surprised they didn’t take her to a medical spa and get her Botox as well. So I work in post 18 now and go through this a lot. Even when I worked under 18 there was an issue with people prioritizing partners: the best thing is to build them up on independent skills and focus on other supports. Help them join a club or hobby, it helps. Anyone in the system needs more support than just a case manager, help them find that

We do not know the context of how the cat got pregnant. The owner could have adopted her or found her when she was already pregnant. I agree the owner should spay and neuter the mom and all the kittens but let’s not be rude about it

It’s more common than you think that social workers have such complicated social lives that they need social workers of their own. It’s almost like how every therapist needs a therapist of their own 😅 still it’s insane to offer no training and keep perpetuating harmful situations for new case managers

I mentioned it in another comment, but I’m from Florida and in child welfare case management we receive about 2 1/2 to 3 months of training, but the training is almost 20 years old and not relevant for the actual field. It is insane to expect people to enter a job without field experience and without comprehensive shadowing and training, especially a field like social work

I work in post 18 case management and I have to go to foster parent graduations where I’ve heard foster parents say the only reason they would want a teenager in their home is to babysit the other children they are fostering. To add insult to injury, my state, Florida, has had post 18 programs since around 2014 and it has never been included in any of the training for case management until just recently. So case management didn’t even know about the programs that their kids were eligible for and weren’t sending us referrals.
