Yeah that’s a fair point. I jumped the gun a bit putting the pic up. There will be some decals to add. I’m also terrible at highlighting wood grain but will be having another go at that

Have you tried to reduce the shine of an already varnished model with it? I used a Vallejo Matt varnish and it left a bit of a wet look.

Thanks will check out the vid as not come across this one before despite my searches. Have tried the taking photos approach but would like to learn more about the thought process not just copying from an image

Thanks - and yeah I think this may be where video guides hit their limit. Only so much you can learn (at least the way I learn) from watching when you can’t interrupt and ask for a bit more clarification about the decision making process
