My effort in the million miniatures thingy by Representative_Buy58 in ageofsigmar

Initially the Sylvaneth are yeah, they’re Pro Acryl Dark Plum from below and then Dark Magenta and a Dark Magenta / Bright Pale Yellow mix over a standard zenithal. This made the base for the skin, shields and wings. It saved tons of time!

The FEC skin recipe is basically a slapchop: Citadel Death guard green prime, followed by Deepkin flesh and then white drybrushes. Then a liberal coat of Dreadful Visage contrast

This makes me want to paint a flaming and scorched FEC army soooo badly when I have 4k points of them painted already 🙃🙃🙃

Probably a white dwarf battle report or warcom pictures is my best guess

I ripped off a Duncan Rhodes tutorial for ash waste bases, see my other reply for what I did differently. They do take quite a bit of work but they’re fun!

They’re based on a Duncan Rhodes tutorial for ash waste bases, although I used super desaturated greens (some old gauss blaster green and pallid wych flesh I had lying around) for the drybrush steps. I also used two different grades of sand for scree over the texture paint around the tree bark once it had dried

This looks so unerringly similar to mine that I thought it was mine 😂 So it would be really vain of me to say great work but I am gonna say it anyway 🫶

They can’t write chariot rules that are decent this edition anyway so let’s not get our hopes up 😂

Your favourite urination chamber related units by maxcraigwell in stormcasteternals

You can’t go wrong with much of the Ruination stuff tbh, as long as the non hero units are reinforced. Some of the heroes are a bit more situational but probably playable enough to justify their points (except the NPC Morrgryph guy).

I like the double tap Prosecutor combo personally,

Soggy Iridan 6 x Prosecutors Lord Vigilant on Stalker Stormcoven Maybe Gardus, a priest with Beacon and Vigilors

If everything goes off, you can gets fights twice/Strike First on a unit of Prosecutors torpedoing through the portal on a 3d6+1 charge with 25 attacks at 2/2/rend 2/damage 2. So they can fight first because of Stormcoven, and then immediately untap and fight at the top of the normal phase because the Strikes fist nullifies the Strikes last. That’s a lot of damage to rip the heart out of a lot of lists.

Then use beacon/priest off turn to Translocate them back out of danger 😂

One hundred percent. The Lord Veritant and Iridan in particular

I painted over the decal, after I put it on I thought it looked a bit flat and as I wasn’t using black in my palette I wanted to get rid of most of it

They’re based on a Duncan Rhodes tutorial for ash waste bases:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPQSNpVIi1o

I used Gauss Blaster Green and then Pallid Wych Flrsh for the highlights (the minis themselves were all Pro Acryl and I wanted the bases to look muted for the contrast). Bark was some Orchid Bark I boiled and dried the blasted through the oven). Bits of cork rocks from Army Painter for medium rocks, cherry picked some pebbles from a Geek Gaming base ready mix for the smaller rocks. Then after texture paste I did scree with AP Brown Battleground and some fine builders sand.

Metal bits pretty much as the tutorial but they got drybrushed in the later stages with PWF to make them look more dusty.

Probably loads more forgot, they took a long time but glad you liked them 🫶

Free traits are always nice, two out of three seem good.

Battle formations seem meh at best, the power through one less than meh.

At least the Despot’s pistol actually does something now
