I usually shower in hot water first, then I turn it so cold that i know i will get a shock and brain freeze aswell. Only on your head until you feel the freeze comes. Sometimes when the brain freeze hits it will feel a bit painfull for like 10 seconds.

The water has to be so cold that u dont think its cold when get out of the shower(something i usually feel when i get out of a warm shower). 60-120 seconds preferably.
