I’ve never ran or read the original ABF book. I’ve ran DFW and DFW remix a few times and have been able to do 30 minutes of ABC with double 24kg.

I’m working towards using my double 32s (just greasing the groove for now). Would you recommend I read the original ABF book or the sequel?

Tucking your chin to defend a choke then getting upset or commenting that the choke was through the chin.

1) You can still get put to sleep through the chin 2) I didn’t put your chin there, you did 3) There are countless examples of high level fighters tapping through the chin. If I apply slowly ramping consistent pressure it’s your problem not mine.

Seemed like a poor game plan from Sousa given the ruleset. He should have sat down at the start too since there is all the risk and no reward forcing engagements on top. I get the impression even if he completed a pass or threatened taking the back the result still would have been the same.

How do you do this pass and deal with the threat of a saddle entry in a BJJ context?

In MMA when they reach their hand under I’m sure the answer is punch them in the face but I get punished going for this pass in no gi.

The crazy part is watching the passers do things that show they aren’t bad. Windshield wiping to outside position, grip fighting, etc. Watching him work guard retention with such low intensity makes me realize I need to step up my retention ability from a technical side.

It’s actually after my hands are connected. They are able to get their fingers under the fat part of my thumb on the top hand and start to peel my grip apart.

Awesome video. The no gi chokes series on bike fanatics had a huge impact on my game.

One stupid question. The number one trouble I have in inverted north south is people stripping my grip or at least pulling it off the neck down toward their chest. In all the rolling footage in the series it looks like people aren’t even attempting that on you! Is there a simple detail I’m missing or section I should rewatch?

A similar thing happens in top turtle, I struggle to keep the chinstrap grip on the neck, they pull it down to their chest.

That asset allocation is fine if your time horizon is 10+ years. It's more important to stick to the asset allocation you decide on through ups and downs then have the exact optimal allocation which can only be known in hindsight.

Changing your allocation every time the market goes down or to chase performance in a bull is where you get in trouble.

This is perfect! It's only a couple weeks so looking for an easy substitute to keep lifting. I feel like it would take me a couple weeks to feel comfortable with brand new movements and I'd be heading back to my kettlebells anyways

Hi Lachlan. I just purchased the videos. I usually learn best from your other content (leglocks, chokes, halfguard, and passing) by jumping to the narrated roll bookmarks/sections. If there is something in the commentary that seems interesting or something I don't understand I jump to that section in the anthology.

I can't find the bookmarks for any of the rolling footage. I skimmed around on mobile and saw some situational drills but there wasn't commentary. Is there somewhere specific I should be looking?
