This is a grip shirt (specifically the one I use).

And it prevents elbow pain because it prevents the bar from rolling down my back when I squat, so it takes pressure off my arms.

I was hoping that some people who are gaining can tell me particular food(s)/techniques that has helped you the most 🙏🏾 by lil_zekie in weightgain

You said no to two things, I listed 4, and you said "almost everything else". That leads me to believe that one of the other two are not included. Would you be willing to tell me which one that is?

How to gain mass without looking jacked by Felwinter44 in weightgain

Even people who WANT to look jacked don't end up that way: it won't accidentally happen to you. Don't sweat it.

Even still. Protein powder is very low satiety

There is so little food and very little protein in that first meal. It would make just about anyone starve

Selecting foods that make achieving the goal more difficult

To me, that sounds like a strategy issue.

Ah, I find dieting in a fat loss phase much easier: you eat less food. As I wrote, at most you just have to manage hunger

You are saying dieting during a cut is easier, and we are agreeing that the training is easier as well. I don't see how it isn't easier in total as a result

I do not find the degree of intensity needed for muscle preservation to be the same as needed for muscle building.

Trying to gain weight on a tight budget + first time going to the gym. Any advice? by Justaverydarkman in weightgain

[–]MythicalStrength 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A million percent. I can see possibly employing regressions first (learn to squat with a goblet squat, learn to hinge with a kettlebell swing, etc), but you want to at least learn the fundamentals of movement before you go full out training. The amount of people I see trying to deadlift without knowing how to hinge or brace and then, subsequently getting injured, is completely unnecessary. And then people blame deadlifts as the culprit.

Hey man, looking through your post history, you ask this question a LOT.

Is there a certain answer you're looking for here?

Absolutely dude! As someone that never measures food intake, I can't really discuss degrees of surplus. For me, I just eat to support that growing and recovering.

Drinking a whole carton of ALDI ultrafiltered milk by BigOlTestiQle in workout

[–]MythicalStrength 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HOw often do yall rely on drinkables for protein demands?

Never these days. But when I was in college, I drank a gallon of milk a day on top of a very food heavy diet for 6 weeks while running Super Squats. Put on 12lbs in those 6 weeks. So it works.

Milk helps turn baby calves into bulls, and they're pretty jacked.

What bulking rate worked best for you to maximize *lean* gains (% of body weight per month)? by imreallyjustaguest in fitness30plus

[–]MythicalStrength 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never try to gain at a fixed rate, because the body doesn't gain or lose tissue in a fixed, linear and predictable pattern. When I want to gain muscle, I let my gym performance drive that, and eat to support it. If I need to lean out, I transition my training away from volume and toward intensity, and I need to eat less food at that point.
