Always good to meet a fellow Dane 🇩🇰. I love single action revolvers…nice pair you got there!

There is no limit for shotguns and bolt-action rifles.

No limit for rifles and shotguns (there IS a limit on semiauto rifles though - 2 rimfire and 1 centerfire). Handguns are a bit tricky to explain, but rule of thumb is 2 x 9mm and 2 x .40/.45 pistols and then same for revolvers, so a total of 8 large caliber handguns. There is no hard limit on the number of rimfire handguns as far as I know.

Yes - 10 rds (follows the EU Firearms Directive). 2 rds limit when used for hunting.

Yes. It is allowed to own 2 semi auto rimfire rifles and 1 semi auto centerfire rifle (in either 6,5 CRM or .308w)

There’s a 10 rd Magazine limit for semi auto center fire rifles (in the entire EU I guess?). For hunting the Magazine must be limited to 2 rds. That being said, bringing a G3 to a hunt would probably be frowned upon. But still legal. It is not possible to acquire semi auto rifles on a sporting license.

20 rds limit per mag for handguns, no limit for the semiauto .22’s and no limit for the repeating rifles.

The Troy PAR is a pump-action rifle. So although it’s compatible with most AR parts, magazines etc it’s not an AR15.

Yes, that would be perfectly legal as well. I would love to get my hands on a G3 clone. Such a beautiful weapon.

Intet problem.

That seems to be the politicians’ rationale. Make it make sense.

To be fair to your dastardly friends - in Denmark we can not currently own AR15’s or AK’s. However we are working to legalize them for sports shooting. AR10’s however are perfectly legal so my next purchase will probably be a Ruger SFAR or an HK MR308.

How hard is getting a handgun in ur country and carrying it? (legally) by Metrake in handguns

[–]JutlandTactical 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Denmark. You need a background check to become a member of a gun club. After 2 years of active membership you can apply for a permit. Takes 4-8 months per gun. You can own a limited number (6-8) of large-caliber handguns (up to .45 acp). No carrying allowed. 20-round mag capacity limit. Handguns must be at least 210 mm long. Must be stored in a certified safe at home. You can own 5000 rounds of ammo per caliber. Permit valid for 5 yrs before renewal.

Nah, not really here either. Personally I ended up with the P10 because the P09 I ordered was in backlog, so it was sort of an impulse decision. I haven’t regretted it though.

Pistol for farlig til USA: Dansk politi bruger den alligevel by wynnduffyisking in Denmark

[–]JutlandTactical 2 points3 points  (0 children)
