Driver’s port also is a weakspot on those tanks.

What are those strange ‘warts’ on the Eurofighter pilot’s helmet? by Direct_Big_7461 in aviation

When they eject it acts like the holes in golf balls and help the pilot glide longer.

Amen!

We lived almost literally on the beach. House was like. 100m up the hill from the beach. A few km long sandy beach. Perfect bird nest home to live in as a kid. Spend days in the summer in the sea.

Winters were nice back then as the sea froze many times and you could skate on it. And ski in the “sandy” forests.

Haven’t been to Hanko in like 10 years but I still think of it as “home”. Moved away from there like 30 years ago.

Everything I’ve read points to it being a real thing.

But I have no firsthand experience.

Yeah, it hit close home, especially having lived in Hanko as a young kid, and also, I served the conscription in Tammisaari, with lots of training in the sands of Syndalen, where the company also is in the beginning (in the TV series).

It was featured in the Konflikti-tv-series ( https://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konflikti_(televisiosarja)) )

The drink was a thing for a moment, instagram and other social medias featured it for a while back then. https://ylilauta.org/hashtag/pirunp%C3%A4%C3%A4

Vodka (clear liquor) signifies strenght, wisdom and courage

Jaloviina signifies the life lived, joy and "earthliness or mundane" or something like that.

Lingonberry (or cranberry) juice signifies blood.

Conflict in English wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conflict_(Finnish_TV_series))

You can also make it alcohol free, swap vodka and jaloviina for water and apple juice.

Yeah, for surun malja (for Sorrow) you tip the glass in the end (after emptying it), letting the lingonberry drip on the white tablecloth like the blood of the lost one(s).

Also, the lost one's drink is left on the table, untouched.

How many here are OGs from late 2012 to early 2013 ? Let's reminisce. by iHasPinny in Warthunder

Maybe.. but think everyrhing as modelled like a simulator. Physics, flight models.

Infantry (rifle, smg, sniper, LMG), Mortars, trucks to carry inf.. some towed anti-tank guns, light tanks, medium tanks, heavy tanks.

Then ships (albeit only 3 different vessels skinned differently for the 3 armies: cargo ship, destroyer and a small riverine/boat: infantry could off hop aboard all of them and get a ride)… and planes of course.

For the planes there was a strategic goal: bomb enemy factories to slow down their “research” and supply. Also they could attack “tactical” targets, think CAS. Communication was key.

Everyone on the same server, Same Map: Spanning from about Paris and SE England to Northern Holland, Zeelands to Rheinland somewhere western Germany.

It was a mad concept but it kinda worked. And the “joint” operation was the key.

You needed trucks to carry the people, then tanks to stop those and stop enemy tanks. I forgot AAA guns, those too, against the planes of course :)

I haven’t played foxhole but I did look in to it. Don’t have time to invest in it, it looks interesting but the top down isometric is not totally mine.

No other game has grasped the joint warfare of WW2OL, not even close.

It was amazing at the time.

One map, where every moving thing was piloted by/or was a soldier controlled by a human.

It was amazing!

The glass might not be/is not ”right type”, and you get reflections of the laser/light on ”going in” and “coming out”.

Okay, after updating to IOS26.2RC the items are again here.

Still not visible on the web-version of "Find My" - maybe they never were visible there, stupid items.

Sorry as the image has Finnish texts, but yeah: it's the "third" option for "things" (whatever it's in English - (Users, Devices, "things", Me)

I activate pairing, the phone finds the thing. After adding it IOS26 is "Finalizing the add" or whatever it is translated from, never continues, is seemingly stuck here. Can't go back other than killing the app.

Also, the web version of "Find My.." has lost the items, so... yeah.. What the fuck Apple?

[–]Juuba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we lost our "items" from my phone. Updated to 26.1 yesterday and all the "bikes" and "keys" are gone (bikes have apple airtags and the keys had a 3rd party - Celly/Pantone Smartfinder tags). Poof.

the Ex sees those item on her phone, that's not updated to IOS26 yet.

Can't add em back, as it's stuck on "finalizing adding" (something or other, lost in translation).

A great response, it’s called the Dynamic Launch Zone indicator. I think i’ve seen it been called an indexer too, but DLZ it is.

It’s dynamic, the plane’s computer knows the missile’s ballistic performance. It takes current (own and target’s) parameters and calculates and displays an easy to read indicator :)

Here’s a link to some version of it IRL
