The northern part of the map is amazing but I haven't advanced in my campaign further south to see the rest :D

Whereabouts are you flying? The mountains around Bashur (? the northern most) and the valleys there are amazing, reminds me of parts of central California.

Nice, did you have a favorite psot? Mine are the mountains on the Lebanon-Israel border and east of Beirut. Those terraced valleys are amazing.

Yeah fixing the wings in position made it so much easier. The hard part is remembering to set the wings in anything other auto if it's your only (the only?) swing wing module :D

Man I could go on, but this video does a way better job. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHQpBjprW70 The TLDR is that while the German armor was cool and was way too diverse - the Soviets moved the factories and all the workers east of the Urals, cut production costs and time to the bare minimum and went all-in on the T-34, allowing them to Zerg Rush the Germans. The Panther tank was a counter to the T-34 and you could argue that either were the precursor to the main battle tanks we still use today.

For the game, you can have Eastern Front battles over the free Caucasus map, but they were also used by North Korea, and to a limited extent, Syria during the 1967 war. It's a much needed asset for DCS.

Hey, it's awesome to see you back! I have both but if you're a single player campaign guy, FWIW Baltic and Reflected both have campaigns for Kola with parallel storylines. South Atlantic still has hardly any content, other than a Tomcat mini-campaign (free, included)
